Considering how god awful the stained-by-ten-thousand-smokes-and-wood-varnish teeth looked in DAO...maybe they'll fix it. Either way, aren't we getting a little too particular here with what to talk about?

They're just teeth.

Detail matters! Especially teeth. This comes from someone who has braces so yes they are important. Seeing all the ugly teeth in DA:O and then playing ME is just kind of eck. Beside who wants to see their hawk kiss another LI with Yellow teeth.

As for the tooth paste question. Its called magic. Posted Image

I swear I won't buy this game if they change the color of the teeth without a good reason!

I'm still about 98% sure that I'll be getting this game, I really don't care; I'm rather easy to please.

So you can imagine how confusing I find all the anger over so very few details...

I have no problems with realism, but I wouldn't mind white teeth. This is a fantasy game afterall, so why is it a big deal if people in Dragon Age don't have white teeth?

Because Bioware loves to ruin our romance scenes with people kissing each other with their fetid, rotting teeth.

Nice mental image, ain't it?

well not toothpaste, they kinda picked their teeth with some small pieces of wood and did use some pasty-grey-mush. but people did clean their teeth in those days. food also did less damage to teeth, because it was less corrosive or acidic and it was harder. nowadays we have soft drinks which do damage your teeth more than tea or water.

Who knows. Maybe the Free Marches will have dentists. Something Alistair really, really needed.

Women wear makeup but none can brush their teeth. I wonder how often they bathe now that you mention it.

First level pick for me! Honestly, I HATED the teeth in DA:O. Hardly a game-breaking issue, but I still hope they can improve them.

No.

However, I direct your attention to Morrigan's makeup.

They had magic. Those mages could make a killing off of teeth whitener.

yellow is more realistic for the setting...no toothbrush in site...only orzamar seems to even have something close to a dentist.

There was a mod for that anyway. I found it worthless, but I imagine someone will whip that one up for DA2 within a week of release.

The Crusaders brought back improved teeth-cleansing products, but even peasants in the middle ages knew that chewing on certain roots and rinsing your mouth with alchohol after a meal made your breath stink less.  They just didn't care.

They also had makeup made from lead and antimony, and other poisons.

Yellow teeth such as pictured in DA:O and the middle ages come from nutritional deficiencies, not lack of brushing.
