Seems he was given away.
SO it also seems like we know why flemeth helped the kid run from lothering.

Wouldn't it be more likely said child is Morrigan.Arttis wrote...
Hawke is currently a maybe bastard after all Maric slept with Flemeth and we have no idea where the child went.

Agreed. I see Hawke, currently, very much in the Conan sort of mold. A "king/queen by his/her own hand".Gill Kaiser wrote...
I prefer the idea of a penniless nobody rising to power through the strength of his will, rather than because he has some kind of regal birthright. If it does turn out that Hawke has special lineage, I'd rather it be supernatural in origin rather than noble.
No, though it's possible. He spends a considerable length of time in her hut and when he emerges he's super-shaken. I liked the idea more before I actually read the book and realised that the Flemeth Maric encounters isn't "young and beautiful" ala Morrigan but, in fact, an old crone like she is in the game.DanteCousland wrote...
Was it confirmed that Maric and Flemeth slept together. I've never read the books. Just had friends who have.
I'm superficial, that way.

If you romance Morrigan and ask her about her family she says Flemeth isnt her real mother but more so somebody who raised her and who she grew to love.GodWood wrote...

She speculates that Flemeth might not be her biological mother and its possible she was stolen as a babe.DanteCousland wrote...

Given Flemeth (supposedly) raises daughters only to possess them, both might be true from a certain point of view. For all we know, Flemeth might wait until after her daughters have given birth before she takes control of their body. So we end up with a situation where Flemeth both is and is not Morrigan's biological mother.GodWood wrote...

thats messed up there. Does anyone else think that regardless of your efforts to thwart her (if any) Flemeth will still end up possesing Morrigan?. Its a very interesting plot twist.Ulicus wrote...

You don't kill an acient evil like Flemeth as easy as you did in DA:O, at least I don't think you do.

Yeah I am pretty sure Flemeth will posses Morrigan or her daughter one way or another.

I killed her but even then Morrigan says she doubts Flemeth is really dead, you've just delayed her.

Hawke a bastard? Don´t know even if that does matter that much in Ferelden or Free Marches, but Alistair didn´t have that much a happy childhood and Eamon was supposed to be one of the good guys. It doesn´t seem to be the big deal from ASoF&I.
