Seriously only want to know... who had chosen to side with allistait when it's time to choose who will rule?
For me it only seem to be a bad decision all around. Alistait only want to become a king so he can get is vangeance on Longhain, He dont want to be a King never had and Anora is an experienced and capable ruler she is the practical choice... so i chosed Anora

I got Alistar and Anoura to agree to marry each other. It seemed like the best all around solution, Anoura could handle the day to day governance while Al provided the people with a hero they could look up to.

That was what i had intended to do but when the Landmeet got to an end this good resolution feel flat out dry and Allistair didnt want to do it anymore

For fun spoilage, you can get Alistair to let Loghead live.  You just need to harden him up a bit in his personal quest.

oh?  How did you start Al's personal quest?  I gave him his mother's locket, but I didn't get it, unless you mean taking him to his sister, I think I played the calm mediator in that case.  Did I flub it?

You just tell him that "everyone is out for themselves" after he meets his sister, basically.

Ah,

I flubbed it, I said something else, and then she warmed up to him.

I choose Allistair and actually ended up LOSING rep with him from it in the end. Anora seemed to have too much of her father in her for me to choose her for my "good" character.

I had Alistair become King. He didn't want it, but he knew, deep down that it was the best thing.

ENDING SPOILERS

I did the marriage option, then let Alistair sacrifice himself to kill the archdemon at the end (refused morrigan's ritual.) The ending still acted like Alistair lived and went through with the marriage.

I made Alistair king. I just finished killing Loghain and didn't feel that making his daughter king would be a wise choice for my character's survival.

The way I look at it, Alistair is blood, therefore he is the heir, no matter the original motivation. And it seems with the story at the end, he turned out alright after all. ;)

I think the most realistic and obvious/logical solution would be for the two of them to marry, I'm surprised that didn't get pushed. I was so confused that no one could do anything without me choosing for them. Here, Alistair let me choose your whole future for you, and that of the kingdom. Seemed like we could at least put it to a vote. =/

Asking Alistair what to do was kind of funny, though: No, I don't want to be king!! No, don't make Alora the queen!!

I'm not sure.

I only chose the queen because Alistair did not want to be king. (Although, in the remaining dialouges in the game it sounded like he was made king after all. Maybe some glitch in the game, I don't know :<...)

The queen... not sure what I think about her. Nevertheless, in the ending it is shown that she did a great job. Although, whenever I spoke to her she always sounded so... Power-hungry. I never really trusted her, but I cared enough about Alistair to give her the throne.

As for Alistair, I think he could've been a good king. He may not have any experience in the area at all, but he's an honest and a good man, I think if he had the power and the resources, he'd do what's best for the people.

As much as I love Alistair, he's not cut out for King material. I know it says he did a good job in the epilogue, but at the time at which you make your choice, he's still a naive, dopey, kinda spineless kid. Anora, as much of a conniving witch as she is, seems to have her head in the game much more.

I only supported Anora so my character wouldn't be dumped by Alistair in the end. I really don't like Anora.

I liked Anora a lot more when I made sure to speak with her and make my intentions of supporting her obvious before the Landsmeet actually convened. She was a lot more tolerable when she knew I wasn't a threat, and as such didn't stab me in the back when her support actually mattered.

So yeah, I normally tend to support Anora for the throne. If only because she seems like a capable ruler compared to Alistiar at the time.

Sooo, can a human noble character make Anora queen and then marry her and become King? Cause I really want to do that my next play through with my pragmatic and less than moral human noble warrior.

I would have killed Anora(sp) if given the opportunity. There should have been no way in Hades that she survived the beheading of her father.

She'll only take a human noble male as her consort.

I would like to know this as well. I've heard this a lot and I'm interested in learning any truth behind it.

I didn't "harden" Alistair up, so maybe the dialog choices would have been different, but it seemed obvious to me that he didn't want to be King. And my character loved him too much to put her desire to be Queen over what was best for him.

Just to be sure, she kept asking him and while he kept saying he'd do it, I instantly knew he didn't really want it when he made the comment that he'd do it "out of duty." Once I heard that, PC threw her support behind Anora. For crying out loud, we're saving Ferelden and possibly millions of lives here. As far as I was concerned we had both done "our duty" and were entitled to eek out some measure of happiness that didn't result from "doing our duty." Especially when you consider the short amount of time Grey Wardens get to live.
