i think that they will have minor roles or no role at know you know DA:2 isn't about a blight more about Hawke rise to power ,but i wouldn't mind a Grey warden companion either

I don't give a dang. Please Bioware, please after the game informer issue comes out please tell us if our wardens will come across hawke man. I would love you guys to death. Just seeing my Kendeno mage dude coming across hawke would make me pee my pants. IT would be the most epic game you all have made to date. Just because I'm able to see my warden in another game. Instead of some stupid card reading. *my warden did so and so!* Give me the figures man and make them move again. I know you'll can do it.

I think they will just be a faction and a minor one at that, the further from Orlais and Fereldon that you get the less the Wardens, the Circle and Chantry have meaning. These are not global agencies, these are local factions within two neighboring nations. I doubt the chantry, circle and wardens have a global presence. The closer you get to the Tivinter Imperium the less the Chantry has power. Antivi, Nevarra are probably far more important to the Free Marches as far as factions than Orlais and Fereldon is seporated by a sea from them. So I really don't see the DA;O factions having the same hold in the Free Marches. I do see a highly independent people living there, just by the name, that don't give a damn about their neighboring nations ways, I see what we have come to call Apostate mages, simply called Mages in the free marches. I seriously doubt the Circle has the power it does in Fereldon.

Actually, the Chantry is all over mainland Thedas. I'd suspect it to have a strong presence in most nations aside from the Tevinter Imperium, which has it's own version of the Chantry. It's a rather global religion. Then you have the Qun and the Qunari in Seheron and in Par Vollen.

Well if Hawke is in lothering by the time the warden passes by there, i guess we could see he/she with a full helmet
or in your case since you are mage with a hood and only by the back.

atleast what they can do is make it optional if you want to join then you can join them

I suspect a few will crop up throughout the ten year time span. Not in the bit that coincides with Origins, obviously. You might not see YOUR warden, but depending on whether you played Awakenings, I'd guess there's a chance of meeting one of your warden's recruits.

I don't see Hawk being tainted because darkspawn haven't attacked Lothering at the point our wardens were in town, and we may/or maynot see our "Warden's" walking around. I doubt we'll get to interact with our own Warden, unless Hawk is the kid by the bridge or the Chantry board kid, these were my first impressions if Hawk is a kid and he could also have been any of the kid refugees, kids in the refugee camp over by the fence, which we couldn't talk too.  We just walked by him/her finding supplies.

If he is a teenager we didn't talk with him.

Our warden's will get a codex or a mention in dialogue and this will all. I doubt we'd have the chance to even try to recruit Hawk into the party. Sorta spoils your origins game after your decisions in Lothering, that doesn't make any sense to have the opportunity to even try to recruit him.  We were only given the chance to recruit Leliana and Sten in Lothering.

In Dragon Age wiki announcement about Dragon Age 2 mentioned he is a new warden but that might of been misunderstood. Hopefully they'll be companions that are grey wardens and at least get a choice of whether or not to be a grey warden.

He is not a Warden. I asked David himself and he replied "no"

I personally do not want Grey Wardens to be the focus of the story. We already had that in DA:O and DA:A. Thedas is a goldmine for other stories instead.

Maybe I should have clarified. I want a griffin to EAT. Not to pet and be all fancy with. I want some goddamn tasty Griffin wings with spicy dip.

A pity the mate died. Could have had them breed and started the Ferelden version of KFC.

I imagine for the part of the game which occurs during DA:O, they'd only be mentioned, possibly through news from refugees of the blight, but after that who knows, I'd like to see a lot of news about the rebuilding of the Grey Wardens and the tainted parts of Ferelden.

The thing is, he isn't normal.

He's "a penniless refugee who rises to power to become the single most important character in the world of Dragon Age." More important than the Warden, who ended the Blight? More important than God-baby? Something isn't right.

I have to agree with you.  Seems my warden is the biggest hero in all of Thedas given the fact I stopped the blight in Ferelden and didn't allow it to spread to the other nations.  Wynne mentions this.   Yes, something not right.

We don't know what he does to make him so important in history yet though, we don't even have any clues. For all we know, he may discover the location of the old gods or some way to reverse the taint.
