Jennifer Hale in Mass Effect 2 = Consistently overacts to the point I can't take FemShep seriously and none of the female imports from ME1 I was looking forward to playing made it past Horizon. It was, in my opinion, the worst performance of her career that I've been exposed to. Just awful.

Her dialogue with Jacob takes the cake.

I blame the director. At some point one of two things happened. Either she was ****ting it up and the director didn't rein her in, or she was reading the lines and the director said "That's great, Jen. Now try it like you're a phone sex operator."

I wouldn't mind her doing a cameo. But she's way too associated ME to have a large role.

Occam brainwashed us all into thinking it's Nicholas Boulton. :D He played Bann Vaughn in DAO.

We've assumed it was Boulton even before that!

What we really need is littlekuriboh to voice male!hawke. In fact, he can do all the voices.

When will we find out which voice actors are voicing Hawke? Also, when will we get to hear what they sound like in-game?

Its who ever put the sound files in, if you refuse to talk to Jacob or stomach it long enough to get to the point where romance is no longer a possibility, usually after the suicide mission, you can talk to him all you want with a completely different set of voice overs that are not flirty.  Doesnt save Jacobs awful romance though, most people will not discover this at all, and those that do will be after more then one play through.

Sexual harassment in the workplace is okay if you're a woman?

Well, I thought a lot of the dialogue beyond the Jacob romance was overacted by Hale.

Paragon Hale: "I AM REALLY, REALLY NICE AND UNDERSTANDING LISTEN CAN'T YOU TELL?"
Paragon Meer: "It's cool, bro."
Renegade Hale: "I WILL F*CKING WRING YOUR NECK YOU WEED!"
Renegade Meer: "I don't have time for your crap."

Hence Meer being described as "boring." I call him "believably understated." Granted, this is fairly subjective, but I never ever got that impression in Mass Effect 1.

Basically I got the impression FemShep was perpetually trying too hard, whereas ManShep was more comfortable in his own skin and didn't feel the need to play the ham.

Apparently. Miranda does it with M!Shep and there's nothing he can do about it.

edit: Maybe it's a Cerberus rule?

I agree. I really like the way Meer did it. Hale has done better work. She should've done it like she did Avatar Kyoshi. Strong, but very measured and careful.

I hope BioWare got Mark Hildreth for male Hawke.

I was going to insert a quote from Heero Yuy or Goku in response to this, and then i imdb'd mark and realized something...

He voiced Sten. Damn he's good.

If Mark Hildreth is the male Hawke VA, I will totally play a male PC for, like, the first time EVER.

I want Gilbert Gottfried as the main antagonist. It will make destroying the enemy so much sweeter if his voice is annoying. Other candidates include Jar Jar Binks, Justin Bieber, and Sarah Palin.
