I think Sean Bean could voice an excellent male Hawke. An aging warrior, but still a powerful one. He's voiced for video games before, and he's English.
Perfect.
Speaking of voice actors.

The Queen from DA1 would be nice for the femHawke voice IMO.
Anora?
Ugh, if that were to happen, I'd definitely be playing BoyHawke!
Who did the VO for Isabella? I liked her

And the violent voice. Meh, just had to throw that in there.

Male Hawke - Simon Templeman.
Female Hawke - Claudia Black.
That's what I would go for anyway....
How about Ben Browder as Male Hawke.
Hmm, while I'd prefer to hear more of Claudia Black, methinks she's best as Morrigan.
(but I wouldn't mind her as FemHawke, I think)

Of course. That person has to do 10x the voice recording of any other character-- more, probably, as they have lines in almost every single dialogue. We went through a few tries before we found the actors that hit the right note, but yet-- we do indeed have all our Hawkes in a row.Kaiser Shepard wrote...
David, Mary, have you guys already decided on who will voice each Hawke?
Any hints as to who voices femHawke? Pretty please Darth Writing Guru?

Nope, not kidding. She also voices Bella the barmaid and a prostitute in the Pearl. And you can still like Isabella without liking Anora

Then I think, why not Grey DeLisle? I think back and remember her work as Annah in Planescape Torment, and think she'd make a great Hawke.
I only skimmed through this thread, but I didn't see this mentioned, Grey DeLisle did not voice Annah from Planescape: Torment. That would be Shaeea Easton. No idea where you got that idea from. Apologies if this was already mentioned.
Geh, my mistake.
And, after doing my research (this time!) it seems she did Nalia and Viconia in BG 2. Now...Nalia has that sort of Americanised noble accent, but Viconia, very yes! Although...there Drow are a bit...odd voice wise. "Th' Drrrow Rule Suprrreme!"
As for Sheena Easton: Apparently she was doing TV work as late as 2005, but still does concerts.

Am I in the minority because I liked Anora? She was a strong, determined, female character willing to do what she thought was necessary to get what she wanted.
That said, I wouldn't want any of the major voice actors from the previous material to do my character unless they could really pull off an unrecognizable voice - otherwise I'd keep having flashbacks to the original and never feel comfortable with it.

I liked Anora as well and yes, we're most likely in the minority.

You have hit the blue BioWare image the first time - it shows only the first post and Dev answers. To see the entire thread, you have to click on the thread title.
On-topic:
I would love to hear Grey DeLisle as female Hawke.

This is why I prefer a voiced PC, I loved the epic speeches I was able to put together in ME1 & ME2.
If I am the hero central to the story I don't want an npc delivering the stirring speeches and myself standing around looking like a gimp.

Shepard was military, so I presume all the training and indoctrination kind of stunted his ability to express emotions, and that's fine with me. But I want Hawke to sound sarcastic, or angry, or sad or happy. I want him to act, and I don't care if he ends up chewing the scenery (read: he overacts).
Oh and I hope with all my heart they ain't casted someone with an excessively deep tone. Gruffy McDeepvoice, as someone already wrote, is not welcome.

In DA:O it made a certain amount of sense. Alistair was king and there was a fear among the nobles that you would be the power behind the throne, so standing silent while he delivered a rousing speech was a good idea politically. But if Hawke is going to be the champion of Kirkwall, I want him/her to be able to deliver a kickass speech or two.

Oh yes I totallty agree with that, but only because there was no option to marry Anora as King Consort then have her bumped off to assume complete power.
