Of course. That person has to do 10x the voice recording of any other character-- more, probably, as they have lines in almost every single dialogue. We went through a few tries before we found the actors that hit the right note, but yet-- we do indeed have all our Hawkes in a row.
When you say "all Hawkes in a row" are you saying that you have more than one voice actor for each gender like DAO but fully voiced?
Wait a sec, who was the guy who voiced Minsc? I would LOVE to hear his crazy rambling again
If you've played Mass Effect 2, you've heard him as Urdnot Wreav, it's Jim Cummings:
He's no Wrex of course, but he's still awesome. He does a few bit characters too, the Scientist at the start of the game, and a scientist again in Jack's sideplot. He also does some minor characters in Dragon Age.

Quick technical question for those that know about sound engineering (I know two things about it.. and yes Jack left town).
Would it be feasible to adjust pitch/modulation/tone on a Voice Acted main character with this many lines and have it sound realistic across the board while actually allowing for legitimately different sounding main characters?
I envision a slider option for voice similar to facial features, but as stated I know absolutely nothing about how feasible that would be.
That'd be pretty cool actually, I'm somewhat reminded of Soul Calibur 4's voice modulator, it had about five or six stock voices but you could change the pitch for each, was pretty neat. :3

No it was just a play on the expression "having all your ducks in a row". Having more than one voice for each gender would be a pretty big expense for a small gain.
Corinne Kempa was perfect for Leliana, being a Parisian who had relocated to London. And the lisp is adorable. I think people just tend to have a knee-jerk suspicion regarding accents-- especially since European accents have such distinct regional variations. A "French" accent is as much a misnomer as an "English" accent, after all.
Yes we definatly need more Orlesian party members. Leliana's personality kind of annoyed me but with that accent of hers she could say anything and I'd listen like a smitten school girl.
Her little teasings of Sten were the best.
"Sten your such a softie!"
French Accents are ridiculously sexy!
My first famous crush as a child was Sophie Marceau the French Princess in Braveheart. I've been doomed to love the accent ever since!
Oh and like in my other thread, I still advocate for David Tennant.
This And as the villain, or awsome squad mate, Wayne Pygram, genuine accent and all.
Scorpius? Hells yeah!! I'd go for him as an evil squad-mate personally, whom I know is going to betray me anyway but who is too awesome for me to mind :3
i want hugh laurie...not possible i know but one can still dream
his voice is perfect for a sarcastic character
ah i love that idea. and why not possible? new vegas has a ridiculous cast. i want nolan north.. voice of nathan drake and about 500 other video game characters.
bioware seems to like to reuse voice actors.. so i wouldn't mind the guy who plays carth/kaiden. for a girl maybe the girl who plays bastila/femshep. and i'd love to see the girls who play tali and kasumi. tali's voice would probly be hard to recognize. morrigan's voice actress plays a quarian on the flotilla but if no one told me i wouldn't have even realized it because of the quarian voice effect.
that's my dream.. hugh laurie, nolan north, carth, bastila, tali, kasumi. that combination wouldn't happen though =[
if i had a billion dollars i'd tell bioware to do it but alas i do not.

if they seriously had multiple actors for each gender.. i would regain hope for a future game starring the warden. this or the voice slider idea that someone else was talking about.
I really don't want Jennifer Hale as the female Hawke.
Hehe, I actually wouldn't mind, but again, I doubt because of her involvement in Mass Effect, the BioWare would use her talents again, especially in another lead role, though who knows, she could pop up in Dragon Age 2 anyway.

If they have Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale do Hawke, then it will only further the game's budding antifandom's argument that DA2 is Mass Effect with swords.
Oh god no. I know Mr.Meer probably worked very hard on his portrayal of Cmd.Shepard, but gah, I could not stand male Shepard. Just...geh.
Im almost 100% sure she will be in DA2, as a side roll. You'de be surprised, but a lot of the voice actors im ME are in DAO and a lot of the voice actors in DAO are in ME
Dante Basco would make a sexy vengeful elf. "HONOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm not kidding, over here we love his voice acting in cartoons, I wonder how he would do in VGs. And can we have Natalia Cigliuti as Sigrun back??? I still wanna romance Sigrun in DAA btw... I'm waiting... DA2 should get an Orleisian voiced by Shannon Blanchet, who was Liselle (the Asian French woman) in the Denerim market...

No, Jennifer Hale is not doing the female Hawke voice. While I like Jennifer Hale's voice, she does the female Shepherd and I think using her for the PC again would be a bit too much repetition.

You know, I heard rumblings of a talking dog or other thing that should not talk sidekick elsewhere in the forums. Gilbert Gottfried was mentioned. Still, might make a good gag for The Fade, but I don't know, his voice is...unique.

I'm just hoping that the returning characters, whichever they might be, are voiced by the VA's from the original or at least someone that can match them. Gilbert gottfried would be quite amusing if used for an appropriate loony character, but I think I would die a bit inside if he is voicing a companion. He is funny in small doses, not large ones ;D
I'm mostly curious if there are 2 VA's for the wardens, one per sex, or if we will get a small group of 2-3 per sex so that we can change the voice if it annoys us to no end. While I personally had little problems with the ones in ME a lot of people did so perhaps that would be the optimal choice here no?
