Why are people losing their hair over the fact the Hawke has a voice? The worse reason I have heard so far is people want to imagine what the character sounds like. Seriously?! News flash; you could not do that in the first one either. Sure you could use your imagination for how she/he would say things, but you couldn't imagine how he/she was voiced because a voice was already there. The warden from Origins talked all through combat, and I mean the entire time. How could any of you say there was no voice? The voices were really good too, in my opinion. Just thought I would put that out there for those who can't seem to remember something about a game they "claim" is their best game.

what's the problem? I'm not making this up, your character does have a voice and you can hear it as you fight.

People have a problem with it because:

a) There will only be one male and one female voice, lowering player choice compared to DA:O.

B) With the voice comes the dialogue wheel, with players having to choose paraphrased versions of the dialogue options. This means that their character can say things that the player might not have chosen if they'd been able to see what was going to be said in its entirety.

c) The voicing in DA:O was limited enough to give a taste of the character's personality without taking away from the player's freedom to imagine the way their character says the actual dialogue lines.

I don't really have a problem with Hawke being voiced, and I don't mind the ME dialogue wheel, but to say that the people who do don't have any legitimate reason for concern is short-sighted.
