Her name comes from an ancient Irish goddess (The Morrigan) and she was
the goddess of prophecy, war, and death on the battlefield. She was a
shape shifter but most often took the form of a raven (Morrigan's black
hair and the raven feathers on her shoulder allude to this). The Morrigan of Irish lore appears as both a young and beautiful woman
as well as an old and ugly one.
She is often depicted as a triple goddess. In the case of the Irish Brighid it is ambiguous whether a
single being or more are represented.
or the Morrigan who is known by at
least three or four different names.
The earliest sources for the Morrígan are glosses in
Latin manuscripts. A gloss explains "a monster in female form, that is, a morrígan"

And don't say "a witch did it." If you say that, M'aiq will make it rain flaming dogs.
Also, Cúchulainn > Morrigan.

This is probably the strongest piece of evidence that the woman in the image is in fact Morrigan......her face is nearly identical......aged but identical. As for Flemeth being Morrigan and being capable of inhabiting more than one body at the same time that certainly seems possible.....I also think that the spirit that Flemeth bonded herself with to gain power and live for centuries was that of an archdemon through a ritual similar to that that happened between the DAO warden and Morrigan.

The tip of her nose seems to have been pulled back a bit but that may be a side effect of the horns growing and perhaps stretching her skin.

What are you talking about? Don't you think that the shape of her skull changing as it did would have some effect on her facial features? The corners of her eyes are also higher than they were. it would be stupid and foolish to expect such a drastic transformation to not change some of her facial features.....all on top of aging wich has 100% proven to change the facial features of people.
The face is still very much the same same....perhaps too much so.....I don't think that is coincidence or accident on the artists' part.

The face position is slightly different. The basic planes and proportions are pretty much the exact same.
Judging the reseblence that is deffinitely Morrigan or was intended to be Morrigan at the time the concept art was created. This is still subject to change as the story is still in development and undergoing changes.

There is just to much the same for this "Woman" not to be linked to Flemeth, Morrigan or the god child in some way. Makes you ponder doesnt it?Darth_Trethon wrote...
