Is it possible? I am doing a FINAL playthrough for ME1 but I am going for 2 endings(1 with a romance in it and another with no romance). But I would rather not do Virmire twice. That being said. After Virmire is completed can I still innitiate a romance with Liara? She is indeed at that point where she is going to say that she is interested in my Shep. So as long as I do not innitiate the scene where Undina grounds the Normandy I should be able to start the romance right?
Start a romance AFTER Virmire?

Did you finish Feros and Noveria? If you did Virmire last, I think it's an automatic return to the Citadel and the Normandy is grounded. If she is Shepard's LI at that time, she'll come talk to Shepard by the lockers in the crew deck. Not sure how much conversation you have to have by then, though.

If you talk to whomever you desire as your LI before Virmire, then you should be able to talk to that person again afterwards (before going back to Citadel and being grounded) to trigger the romance.
I think the same is true for not starting the romance in the same situation. You can talk to that person for the first time before Virmire, but not the second time afterwards. The romance shouldn't trigger...
My advice is to create a backup save right before Virmire and try it out yourself.

its not automatic. You have to go to the CIC before it does. Yes I have talked to her and I have saved the conversation that innitiates the romance path.

Already talked to her. I have saved the conversation that activates the romance path with her. I am just wondering that if after Virmire I can still activate the romance path, as long as I do not trigger and council and udina scene.
