Sorry, distracted by TV.
One question for everyone screaming and yelling about how the game comes out in 9 months so nobody can compare these shots to early shots from DAO or ME2 and that these are so totally going to be the exact same graphics as the release...
Where's the time stamp on the screens?
Because you guys are all working under the impression that the shots were taken like... yesterday.
For all we know they were taken in January when there was a year+ left to work.
And yes Estel i do think it's possible the screens were taken off a crappy PC. I think it's more possible the screens were taken running on a low graphics setting to keep the system load down for testing.
As everyone loves to point out, the game is 9 months away (or more) and the official trailer doesn't come out for another month.
These are teasers nothing more. They're not intended to tell us everything just get us talking and build suspense. Which they have done.
Screenshots are an important part of marketing, especially during a reveal where you want to make the best first impression possible. No company in their right mind would cut sub-par screens from a low end test rig for a reveal. This is the best Bioware had to offer at the time the Game Informer magazine went to print.
I'm sure we'll see some improvement before release, but with only 8 months left it seems unlikely the changes will be dramatic.
