No offense, but that does sound immature. I'm an adult too (nearly 30) and i do buy games for kids. Such as the Ratchet and Clank games for PS3, enjoyable gameplay and excellent humour. Some naivety does good every once in a while.

while frustrating, a change in rating for toned down sexual content is hardly the end of the world, if that's the only thing keeping you from buying the game, just get the PC version and wait about a week for the XXX mods to start rolling in - then you too can equip your buck naked character with a +50 stamina 16 inch fully erect ogre **** and engage in "hot girl on girl on girl" sex acts with every female character ever in the game including your dead mother

I wonder if we will simply get used to the ugly armor designs over time, I'm sure the lightning effects and texture work will get better. I wonder if if BW staffers themselves actually have gotten used to the new DS look. From what David Gaider says, its stylized, I'm not getting even a hint of indifference, being a writer, I suppose he might have chosen to stay out of that completely.

All I can really say is that the game already looks better than it does in those screenshots-- there's a lot of work being done on all content, and while I get what people are saying regarding the number of months left you have to consider that we're not dealing with a long development cycle here. Instead of thinking months, think "percentage until complete". It's still pretty early, as far as we're concerned. Hopefully you'll like what we show you in the months to come. From my perspective, I think what I'm playing looks quite striking.

Same reasons Iconic!Shepard is on the cover of ME2.  So all the little boys can see the big, bad, muscle bound lummox and ooo and ahhh at his prowess and buy the game so they can identify with him.

Frustratingly, it's starting to get to a point where the whole "males make up a larger percentages of sales" and "males identify and play more with male characters" arguments are self-fulfilling prophecies.

Wouldn't it make more marketing sense to depict Hawke wearing a helmet or a hood, something to still make him appear anonymous because even if the default version did look cool which HE DOESNT its simple probability that somebody somewhere won't like how he looks no matter how cool. If he looked as epic as Sephiroth chances r somebody somewhere still wouldnt like it.

Indeed...don't you miss the times when a boy was more likely to buy a game because it had a controversial sex scene or half-naked woman on the cover, rather than now where they're more likely to purchase a game so they can imagine themselves int he boots of an intergalactic commander?

Does this even work?  All the men I know who'd otherwise be playing Madden or Call of Duty think Dragon Age is nerdy and won't play it.  Granted, it's a limited sample.
