We can still hope the game will be released in 2012 with much better graphics.
Or that someone will make texture replacement mod really fast (The terrain textures are BAD)

I wasn't a fan of the ape face of the genlocks but other than that the darkspawn looked way cooler in DAO than those in these screenshots.

These darkspawn are now doubt from a different part of thedas, so that explains the changes.

edit: not the terrible graphical changes, the changes in the armor and skin design.

most people might be a stretch.
Although it's clear you haven't skimmed the thread or you might have noticed the eleventy billion people who have pointed out that there's a 99% chance this is alpha stage.

No they didn't you got a piece of paper with a date. That said nothing. That is most likely the date for the second expansion to DAO.

You might want to read EA's press release announcing DA2.

Remember the ME2 beta screens? Those sucked but loook at the finish product. These are early shots, there is still tweaking to be done.

Remember the ME2 beta screens? Those sucked but loook at the finish product. These are early shots, there is still tweaking to be done.

It was a joke. Obviously they're not final as they would barely pass in 2004.

Yeah they might be at pre alpha stage if they are  one year old.
Remember that game i slated for March 2011 release, that's only 7 months.

I think this game looks better than PS2 or even the PSP.

God of War on PS2 (look at the blurry textures on this giant)

Lighting is acutally making a significant impact in these screenshots, and I don't think there are any lighting effects at all applied in those DA2 screenshots.

It doesn't matter. This is a horrible first impression and it was dumb to release these as the first reveal. Even Two Worlds II looks better.
