I complained at DAO's released both that we couldn't put spaces in our character's names, and that we were limited to 10 characters (that one wouldn't have bothered me if the dog's name had also been limited to 10 characters, but the dog's name was not, so clearly there was no techincal limitation).
So, I'd like to ask that we be able to use spaces, accented characters (DAO already allowed this one) and non-standard capitalisation in our characters' names, and that we not be limited to only 10 characters.
I understood that DAO, once it was released, was pretty much stuck with this design, but DA2 still has some time to change.

I agree with this sentiment, Sylvius. In case you're not aware, there is dodgy way to get around this which I used to call my dog "Ser Fluffles" in DA1. A space character can be inserted by holding down ALT and pressing 0160 on the numpad during naming.
This works, however the space which appears is slightly bigger than the standard one.

Hmmm, why not? It's not really that much trouble to get done.

That did work (and probably will in DA2, as well), but there's no reason for the restriction in the first place.PatDaRat wrote...

And we'd still be stuck with the 10 character limit.
