The first screenshots appear to feature one, so it looks like they're still in DA2.  But I found they disrupted gameplay, and I'd like to turn them off.

I'd like to ask for the ability to turn them off.

Yeah after the first Ogre it became pretty annoying pretty fast.

I didn't mind them. In fact, I didn't always notice when they were happening sometimes. I just wish mages had gotten them.

On ogres I hated them. On normal mobs I never got tired of that decapitating back-swing when dual-wielding.

The only tiresome one was the Ogre one, which was always identical and looong.

I love them. However, I'd like to see more severed limbs and heads. Finishing move on ogre would have been so much better if 2-h sword removed his head, and a maul crushed it into a fine paste (Shale approves +2).

In a close fight, those finishing moves took too much time. More than once I saw a finishing move delay my warrior long enough that he wasn't able to move to another mob fast enough, and someone died as a result.

And silly when you were using a mace.

Oh come on, who doesn't like to ride dragons while killing them?

They should simply make characters invincible while performing these moves.

Hmm I'd like them if there were more varies AND if they didn't do the whole slow motion thing.

Thought fatalities were badass keep em' in, but the option to turn them off for those who feel they are disruptive should exist, that way all are satisfied.

Well you could increase them with mods so I guess you can do the opposite. Whether DA2 will be as moddable idk. I'd like to think so...

I loved the finishing moves in DA and I never got tired of seeing any of them, even the Ogre one (even if it did look a odd with a bludgeoning weapon). The more the merrier IMO. I agree that the Mages should also get in on the fun and that special powers could result in FMs as well.

I don't mind them but they got old fast because there wasn't enough variety.

Increase variety, problem solved.

I wouldn't mind a setting so that they only went off if the enemy was the last one of the group. But if that's not possible, I'd rather just turn them off. They wasted too much time, and lead to characters being taken out of combat for too long.

I never got bored of the animations, and at the end of the day it was worth it just for the dragon fights, but there were a few times when I would have preferred not to have my character essentially CC'd for a couple seconds at semi-random intervals.

Ideal solution: Make them cancelable.

The Ogre one is a bit long, but the normal darkspawn/other humanoid enemy ones were always fine with me. Loved the facechop one. I'd have no problem with a toggle if they annoyed others that much though.

I liked the finishing moves and always tried to get them to play, but DA:O doesn't have enough melee control to guarantee doing that.

We need more finishing moves.

I know what you mean.

It's like I couldn't wait for it to be ogre

The ogre finishing move was cool especially when you're doing it while the ogre is falling/slipping down the stairs. But sometimes it glitches and you find yourself double stabbing the air or the ground which makes it really annoying.

They were cool at first, but then got too repetitive since there were so few of them. I say either make more and have them trigger less frequently or get rid of them entirely. Watching my warrior get pounded while doing the exact same Ogre finishing move for the 20th time is just not much fun. Especially towards the end, when an Ogre is really no longer a boss, but just a run of the mill enemy.
