Of course it would be tricky story wise. It would need to make sense and obviously be more then "wouldn't it be cool to have a darkspawn in our group!"

This reaction is one of many that were anticipated, if you believe the darkspawn are pure evil, then you can always kill him like you could Zevran, or not recruit him like many others. So yes, I believe you should also have the option to send him on his marry way, or slay him on sight as the case may be.Fangirl17 wrote...
I think its a stupid idea in my opinion but to each his own. If we do get a darkspawn companion then I am not letting him join me.

I'd rather have an evil demon, like in Jade Empire. God, I loved that power-mad toad demon.

Tee hee, maybe someone infested by *all* the demonic types. Now wouldn't that be wonderfully chaotic?

Problem is, they hate Wardens and consider them abominations. And Architect's messenger actually just pretending to be friendly. He actually carries on his patron's plan of turning every living non-darkspawn into a ghoul. I just can't see why any of them would want to help wardens.

Doesn't he go on to become a masked hero if you let him live?
It isn't implied that he caused a some of the people he met to become sick on purpose.

Darkspawn BROmance, then... You know those guys would be awesome in the wee hours of the evening, after a few too many drinks.

Pretty much this. A shape shifting Demon would be so much cooler, then some darkspawn.Quinnzel wrote...
A desire demon would be more probable a companion than a DarkSpawn, despite the fact I would want both as companions (hey if Legion can join Shepard...)

Ah, they should just add some "Demonologist" specialization for mages.ShadyKat wrote...

Ogrhen was the Warden's drinking buddy, I'll bet Hawke needs one too.BattlerDunbine wrote...

If the Darkspawn is as much of a bro as Lee Johnston, that would be glorious.

The problem I see with this is that it would affect every other interaction you have - if you a Darkspawn in your party, that will *always* be a big deal. I don't really want Hawke's struggle to be "equal rights for Darkspawn."
They can cover their face like the Messenger does.
Plus with the new art direction they look like deformed human, rather than monsters.

He could hide his face in public, just as the masked hero does in the Awakening epilogue.Lord_Saulot wrote...
