DA2 has JUST been announced..everyone is already thinking ist will suck, it will be like mass effect, that the graphics still look lame, that hawke is a stupid character...ITS JUST BEEN ANNOUNCED PEOPLE...it wont be released to freaking 2011 in march.

and to all the complaints everyone has had

1. having hawke talk makes your character ALIVE and not just some silent emotionless protaginist

2. the combat is not gonna be a 3rd person shooter, it will be like origins but updated.

3.ok, your not a warden raising an army to fight the blight do we want to do the SAME PLOT we did in 2009

4.and the graphics...WHO CARES, graphics dont make a games, sucky games like cod have great graphics, but AWSOME games like the first dragon age have terriblie graphics..and they are BETA GRAPHICS DA2 is still being updated, no game has the full made graphics from the start.

say what you like but if your a loyal fan to bioware who loved kotor, dragon age, the mass effect series, and buldars gate i dont see how anyone could be worried...its bioware OK its gonna be an awsome game maybe the best ever

Heh. This is pretty much business as usual. Image IPB

If you're weary of the reaction, then I suggest heading here for a chuckle:

Awwww it's so cute! He needs Bioware to bring his character alive for him because he lacks the imagination to do so himself!

Hmm. Do people really think that this sort of condescending attitude towards one's fellow gamers' tastes will make a company decide that their money is more worthwhile? I'm curious.

Well, I wasn't aware Bioware valued some money over others.

We don't.

My point is that some people apparently think we should-- that the "console kiddie" or the person with "no imagination" or the person who plays a game only once is somehow less worthwhile a person to develop a game for even though they spent exactly the same amount of money on the game as the PC gamer, the person with all the imagination in the world who likes to read their own dialogue or the person who re-plays the game a hundred times (or hangs out on these forums, even).

My point is that if you wish to use arguments with each other, or with us, as to why you should be listened to-- perhaps leaving elitism out of it would be the smart choice, that's all I'm saying.

Let's keep the fighting and personal attacks and name-calling out of the discussion, please.

I think you found the problem, the hardcore fanbase starts to feel  like a husband coming home and finding his love cheating him with a casual affair..

Apparently his love grew tired of his constant jealousy and possessiveness and how he freaked out every time she so much as looked at another man? Plus the casual affair had more money and was around more often... and he didn't nitpick her to death and call her fat.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Image IPB

No, seriously, folks. Let's try and keep the personal attacks and platform wars out of the discussion, please. We appreciate all our fans equally, regardless of which platform they prefer. None of our games are intended to slight gamers of one platform over any other, regardless of what the "sensationalist hyperbole" would have you believe.

We can disagree with each other without resorting to internet one-upsmanship, memes, or elitist buzzwords. thank you.
