Voice Acting does not mean it takes away from the role playing aspect, although it usually does. Wait until we've seen more.

I haven't seen any more than anyone else here. I'm just making a comment on this emphasis on "cinematic" that Bioware has been vocally working toward. While the stories are usually great (the saving grace for the Mass Effect series in my opinion), it just seems to me that this focus can detract from the games themselves.ganstamaori wrote...
Yeah, well, how much have you seen from the game?

I'm just stating my opinion on this trend.Massadonious1 wrote...
"Cinematic" =/= lack of gameplay, though I know plenty of people who would apparently rather watch a cutscene every 10 minutes instead of actually participate in any sort of combat.

really?
what next, movies usurping the place of games?

Or if you want movies, you could buy a DVD? Here's the thing... if you don't like the direction games are going, you have two options - make your own or speak up. I don't have the time, resources, or ability to make my own. Guess what option that leaves.Ghost Lightning wrote...

No. I think they should take a chapter from Square Enix and leave the "cinematics" to the cutscenes and story telling. I personally think that cinematic elements in game play can be gimmicky, but it's happening so we have to deal.

We have to do no such thing. If we don't like it, we need to speak up. If it doesn't change, we can let our money talk.Ghost Lightning wrote...

There are far worse trends than "cinimatic game".
