In DA2, Hawke will impact the world in a big way according to what we have heard. How Hawke does this is ultimately up to us when we are playing the game. So how when you play DA2, how do you plan to play your character or how would you like to see Hawke change Thedas?
Some ideas I have are:
Perhaps Hawke could combine countries into one
Start a war (hey he could even help Orlais reconquer Ferelden...joking)
Give mages unfathomable power and take over the world
Start a new religion
Discover a hidden ancient elven city
Become ruler of the Free Marches and unite the city states
Be enviromentally aware and help to repopulate Thedas with lots of griffons
Discover where the darkspawn came from
Build an alliance with the Qunari............
How do YOU think Hawke will change Thedas....since we have no information this early I thought it would be fun if fans came up with their own theories. Speculate away.....
How will Hawke forever change the face of Thedas?

I think the idea is to focus on political intrigue, so my wager is that Hawke is instrumental in forming a country, or otherwise repelling an invasion (the champion of Kirkwall works as someone who was instrumental in defeating a horde).
Maybe there's a qunari invasion of the Free Marches? Would that even be geographically possible?

Or he's going to kill someone really, really important and lead Thedas into a new age of darkness.

They should call him/her the Hero of Kirkwall instead of the Champion of Kirkwall, at least in my opinion.
