ya i think it is a bit over my head Zjarc. I have no clame to fame with this game lol, i can admit that theres a huge percentage of people better than me. So while i believe i can last until level 14 without a spirit healer (thats like the first stages anyways) Im unsure how far i can get without one the entire game.

I have no issues excepting an injury, in fact i'v never reloaded due to an injured character. If i can make it through the battle that is good enough for me.

I do wish i could make it though. But im really old school and im used to MMO style play. I like relying on a healer to recover my party versus relying on CC to stop damage.

Again, for other purposes i would like to have some fun with a blood mage. But i don't think its happening. At least shes also a shapeshifter.

for example i believe your supposed to be in lothering as a child when the warden passes through. .

Ugh... I hope he's not that annoying little kid by the bridge who cries   "Mother!    Where are you!  Mother!"

First thought that popped in my head to. Might have to slit my own throat if that's the case.

I doubt it. Hawke can be either gender and he is most definitely a boy and labeled as such.

To get that armor you would have to do a great deal of the "Urn of Sacred Ashes" questline. The Drakes in the temple drop enough scales for you to make 2 sets of armor. 3 sets if you go ahead and kill the High Dragon . . . by that time however I doubt you would even need the armor.

Keep in mind the fact that there is no time limit on killing Flemeth. You can take as long as you like.

Anything with fire resists. Belts, rings, amulets, helmets... what ever. If you can get a full set like Wade's [insert type here], awesome. Otherwise greater warmth balms and keep the party spread out.

ok one more side question before im done with the thread. In the circle tower, do the optional enemies (like the bewitched templar rooms and such) stay there after the tower is completed so i can do them later? or are all enemies instantly killed upon completion?

Hmm, interesting question. I *believe* I read somewhere that the enemies will remain in the tower, but I myself have never experimented with that so I can't give a positive answer.

Considering Godwyn remains in the tower locked in his closet and that you can complete the "summoning" quest even after you have completed the main quest, I'm inclined to believe that enemies will remain in the tower.

Just make use of Force Field on your tank and the game becomes a joke.

using force field on your tank is an exploit. to some it may not be but most consider that it is.

As you said it makes the game a joke. Force field was designed to be used on enemies but "friendly fire is possible" makes it well..friendly fire.

Its supposed to be used on enemies to remove individual ones from battle.

Considering one of it's many uses is removing crushing prison from a party member I'm not sure why you would think using it defensively is an exploit. You might feel it's too overpowered to use, I guess I can understand that, but it's hardly an exploit.

well, thats not actually what its for either. You can dispell crushing prison with a couple other techniques such as a templers dispell magic.

It wasn't actually supposed to be used on party members on purpose, hence its labled friendly fire.

You also don't select a party member the same way you do with every other buff or defensive ability.

You can play however you want obviously lol, but how its supposed to be used is clearly on enemies to remove one enemy from battle.

If it were meant to be a buff then you would choose a party member the same way you do with heal. But your actually supposed to be looking out NOT to hit party members with it. I think bioware figured that players wouldnt want to have their allies removed from combat so they let friendly fire go with it, but people will find a way to abuse any power.

What do you mean looking out not to hit party members with it? It's not an AoE you can only hit a party member with it if you want them hit with it. I can't petrify my party members, I can't paralyze them, even with mass paralyze, I can't drop a crushing prison them, but I can use force field.
As well I don't see how you don't think removing crushing prison isn't a use for it when it's the point of the shockwave spell combination.
I often throw fireballs at the ground behind enemies so my party isn't hit that doesn't make it an exploit however. All because you use a move tactically doesn't mean you're exploiting it. Again you may feel it's too powerful to use, fine, but it doesn't make it an exploit.
This isn't like the Repeater Gloves that clearly do more than they were meant to do.

its not like those things but it IS like fireball. Think about it, with every othe defensive spell you have to select a party member via hitting X by their portrait.

Plus here its labled friendly fire. I hardly believe bioware intended for force field to make the game a joke lol.

If they had known it was that powerfull from the start they most likely would have took the friendly fire off, again they probly assumed most people wouldnt want their party members removed from combat.

If it was meant to be used this way do you think bioware would have watched as all the enemies on the field stupidly attacked one force fielded warrior and made the game incredably easy? no.

They didn't think about it being used like that. Go ahead and use it but in my book its an exploit. But if you have been using it it is a game and its meant to be fun, if thats what you find fun theres nothing wrong with it.

But it surely isn't being used as intended.

It is a spell combo in that you can forcefield an enemy and then use crushing prison. But, again, i dont believe it was meant to be used on allies, hence its labled friendly fire, when all the other defensive spells usually don't call it friendly fire plus you actually have to select a party member, like you do with heal and regeneration and other spells of that sort.

But im also not bioware so i don't know for sure. I'm just saying if they knew about that, and let it slide, they are stupid. Thats a pretty big game breaker.

Oh I see you're on PS3. This explains a lot. Combat isn't at it's fullest on console, but you can in fact use Force Field just like you would Heal on the PC. From what I understand you don't have over the top camera view as well? If so I can see how finding the right target could be some what challenging at times.

Anyway, Force Field is hardly the only spell that makes the game a joke. Cone of Cold, Crushing Prison, Sleep, Mass Paralysis, Mana Clash. I mean there's a reason why the game can be solo'd on nightmare.
