... have just been confirmed (http://www.kotaku.co...steps/#comments)

The key problem to this is that it locks you into whatever platform you started playing with at the time. Can we get a way around this? All the decisions you make are effectively stored online -- can we use that as the avenue to transfer saves?

Why not just do another playthrough? There's months before the game comes out.

No, you misunderstand. If I want to change consoles, I can't currently move my savegames (for example, from ME on Xbox to ME2 on PC).

If Bioware are going to do this more in future, and I think it's a good idea for them to do this more, then they really need to give us the flexibility to move savegames across platforms.

I'll have a new laptop by the time DA2 comes out, and I played on my xbox before. So yeah, it would be nice, but we can probably just download someone's similar save file (as was possible for ME 2). Who would do the switch to console anyway?

I want to know why they're wasting their time with this nonsense again. Their last two attempts at this thing ended up adding very little and the changes it inflicted felt incredibly artificial. Considering we're in a new land with new characters can't we just skip the whole "save game" transfer thing.

How about someone removes that STUPID COPY PROTECTION from the PS3 savefiles please?

Save game transfers are confirmed for Dragon Age 2?

There we have it. All of this "DURR DA2 GONNA SUCK" hate is now null and void. Our choices are confirmed to have mattered (And that is, in the end, all that matters); human being the only playable race is a trivial complaint.

Impossible.  The dialog scenes in DAO are shot in such a way that any Elf or Dwarf looking (ninety-degrees upward) at a Human instantly looks ridiculous.
