So we know were going to experiance ten years of Hawke' life so would you rather experiance:

10-20:A bildungsroman feel

20-30: Obi wan Kenobi feel

30-40: The "shepard" feel

I know, but I'd prefer an older protagonist to be honest.

He certainly appears, to me, to be in his 40s after some hard living.

I would put Hawke between 20 and 30 for DA2. Maybe that beard is at the end of his adventures, when he's around 30 and a harsh life and the tough battles have aged him sooner.

Considering how everyone in DAO refered to you as a youngster I wouldn't be surprised if this was repeated in DA2... If this game is taking place over a decade then I imagine it will be in the 20-30 age range.

The youngest set age of a hero/heroine in a Bioware game that I can recall is in Jade Empire where the protagonist is 20/21.

i don't think he will be a kid when we start..more like in his early 20...30s...and by the end we will either be

a)dead

b)30

c)40

d)immortal(what...it may happen..Bioware did say he will be the most important char in dragon age universe)

27  was when I started to have fun.  I'll go with the 30 - 40.  Hated my teens and didn't like my 20's.  By 27 had a good job, cute little house no commitments, could still stay up late and get up early and 37 met my husband.  Great fun.

Shepard was 29 in ME1 and his story will span about 5 years max

I think 25-35 for Hawke

I really hope we can make a pact with Flemeth.

Gonna roll a mage and make a nation ruled by abominations and maleficars :police:

Then we will wage war on the Chantry! Muhahahah

I'm thinking 20-30 cause this is would be the best age to be killing things (darkspawn, bandits, or what have you) with a sword... strictly from an anatomical perspective mind you

20-30. I'm fairly certain the concept art Hawke is just concept art and we can make him look however we want.

Shepard's 30 or 31. One could argue the two years he was dead for don't count so in that case he's 28 or 29, depending on your background.

This.

You can customize your character so you can choose your age.

Ditto. I'm 43 now and I tire of playing 19 year olds. I want to play a hoary old veteran for a change - a Canderous or a Zaeed or a Riordan, rather than some wet-behind-the-ears kid.

Nah he was only 18 in the concept art, Lothering was a particularly tough paper round.

You know, I like the way you think. Burn the chantry, and build an army of abominations. Sounds fun.

As it turns out, the Beard is a visual representation of Hawke's character level.

Only if he then had a sex change before turning into my LadyHawke.
