20-30. I'm fairly certain the concept art Hawke is just concept art and we can make him look however we want.

Agreed. I don't know why ppl start make theories based on concept arts.

If there's character customization (can't remember if it was confirmed or not), then I think the age will be left to us again.

1-10 = never .. Unless it's japanese but we're talking about bioware not Square Enix

11-15 = Never .. Unless it's japanese but we're talking about bioware not Square Enix

16-20 = Not anymore .. I don't want to play a college student

21-25 = start to make sense .. 21 still a bit young for my taste

26-30 = starting to love it

31-35 = True male age . When we're in our prime and look like male

When we're in our prime and look like a male?

Sounds to me like your a 35 year old trying to make themself feel better about their age... well your kidding yourself.

20's is your physical and mental prime...

And I had a beard since I was f*in 16 so I've looked like a male for a long long time.

I'm going with 40-50. It's a time of change in life; probably the time we'll see the most change in Hawke. Still, seeing a younger version (and playing him) during flashbacks for story doesn't sound bad at all.

60-70. I want to potter about the garden and back my horse out into traffic without looking.

25 - 35

Simply because I don't want my PC to be too young. Starting at 20 is too young. Starting at 25 will give players to see a more younger side of Hawke but not too young. I want to feel like an adult. That's all.

The youngest set age of a hero/heroine in a Bioware game that I can recall is in Jade Empire where the protagonist is 20/21.

I'm 99% sure the PC in Baldur's Gate was supposed to be 17-18 at the beginning of the game ("just coming of age"), and then only a year or two older in ToB.

But as for Hawke...

I'm going to say 25-35 'cos it sounds good. Not because I've just found myself in that age bracket or anything. Posted Image

I hope 20-30. I'm not really into the hardened, know-what-to-do kind of characters.

20-30: Obi wan Kenobi feel, though a bit older wouldn't bother me either.

I wouldn't mind playing younger (as in a child/young teen) as a sort of prologue type thing, but definitely not throughout the entire game.

30... well that makes more sense. Not only are trying to trick yourself into thinking your currently in your prime (rather than past it), but your trying to convince yourself you have five more years of it.

You can't fool this peacock in scientist glasses.

If Hawke does age past say, 40, throughout the events of the game, what are the chances she'll start to look like she's spreading out around the midriff area a bit? Might be a nice touch of realism. For some people. Not that this has started happening to me, no sirree.

No, it is not.

Anyway, 20-30 would be a nice decade to span across for LadyHawke.

Hawke was in lothering and his town got destroyed. What if he was the little boy you met in Dragon Age 1 :P

and i say 20-29

Only if he then had a sex change before turning into my LadyHawke.

There was at least 1 female kid in Lothering.  If Hawke was a child/peasant (or an unskilled mage) at the time, it would explain why he ran from the blight and never looked back.

Ya it is 18 to early (sometimes mid) 20's IS your prime. That isn't to say you can't be in better health when you 35 compared to when you were 25. It's just that age is when it starts to become harder to learn/gain muscle mass/ect. Of course this is also something that can really vary between people.

Do some research if ya don't beleave me. You'll find the stuff that says your prime can be in your 30's is missing the point of what prime is and/or trying to sell you something.

To make this clearer to you, I'm 23. I would say I'm pass my prime... however this does not mean I can't still get into the best shape of my life... it means it would be harder to do that then when I was 18.
