Since the answer i have is about and around the technical aspects of DAO and hopefully not Dragon age 2 im posting this in the support thread.
Would love for someone with some clue about this to answer. But seeing over the years of lack of dedication from the devs of many of my titles i have on the ps3, I dont think i'll get the answers im looking for.
So this is the deal. I own ofc Dragon age origins on the ps3, the pc and i owned it on my xbox before i traded that crap in vs my ps3. Ofc over all platforms there have been problems. But the platform i pref play on, namely the ps3.
The game basicly is unplayeble at times, sometimes gamebreaking sometimes minor bugs and glitches..
But the main concern i have about this is that well.. Nothing has been done to sort out these bugs and glitches that are so gamebreaking on the ps3. Take for instance, the what i like to call the "15-20fps lock", the game feels like its locked at max 25 fps. And that on an console like ps3 and on a hd tv that is as big as mine.. Well, lets say like this.. The game feels like its a game from 2010 played on a pc made at early 2000. Dont get me wrong, i know its a big game.. But i'v played bigger games on the ps3 thats 10x better looking graphics wise.. So im confused..
Still, its an "ok" game, but nothing more than that to be honest in my eyes. Since i have to sit and wait from 3-5 mins/corpse to spawn their loot.. Yeah, its getting pretty old with all the wait. And ofc you have all the slowdowns. Sure, there's some thats not so big.. But still.. theres fps drops in a console game and should be fixed. Yet nothing has been done to sort out problems like that on the ps3. Why's that? hmm..
It all comes down to the question.. Will the next title, that is Dragon age 2 be as buggy/laggy/awful port as Dragon age origins have been? Its just an honest question really...So ill ask it again..
Will Dragon age 2 be as crapy on the ps3 as Dragon age origins has been?
Dont get me wrong.. I love the game as much as i hate it. It has that story i need and everything, nice combat and what not.. Feels basicly like NW with voice acting. Yet, its so flawed that its scary sometimes.
Well, if you dont have balls enough to answer if Dragon age 2 will be working as DAO has on the ps3. Atleast this time before rls add atleast a couple of weeks extra on playtesting it on the ps3 before rls mayby? If you even did play test it before rls on DAO on the ps3 ._.
Well, you can wonder sometimes..
I suggest that if you would answer and would be someone that's actually is considered a dev.. That you test the game on an ps3. Actually play it through once. With all packs and addons with the latest patch and then answer this thread. But i have a feeling.. thats nothing I will live to see, is it?

Shame that you can not continue wih the grey wardens you have from DAO and DAOA but starting off with a stranger would slightly put people off.

Posting again for the hope of an answer, Tho it seems like that i allready have gotten my question answered in a way.. Seeing that the game still aint "fixed" in the way that well.. Making it playeble.. as you expect from a console game when buying it..That is that you can actually play it without it crashing 24/7.. Well.. that i dont see..
And in the horizon.. no, lack of dedication from the devs it seems.. Dont know.. could be just me.. but seeing how they puke out dlc after dlc when the game is at the state it is now..
Yeah,, not wanting to finish off their product pretty much shows that its all about getting that quick buck before the rls of the next half assed title for the ps3/xbox360/pc.
Feels like its not even worth it anymore to hope that devs of game give a crap about their consumers.. I'll go with some safe cards this year and the next, im just happy that theres some devs out there that actually cares about the final product. Sure, devs at bioware probably care.. But for me.. Their way of showing that is r*ping my eyesocket with dlc's and not actually showing any love for the original product.
Sorry for the rage but i had to pick it up again and play.. Just to be kicked in the groin after seeing how unfinished this product really is yet again. Lol.. some of these bugs are more or less alpha stage bugs that should be taken care of before going to beta. Makes me sad that this product got shiped when its at this stage. Why not give it another year to perfect it and give the consumer a proper experiance? Dont get it..
And look at that.. there you went and made me rage again ._.
GAAH! Get your act together Bioware, you can do better than this! I know, since i allready own basicly most of the games you've done.

I'm really starting to agree with you. It is really sloppy work.

Bioware sucks, hopefully they all get sued or better yet EA shuts them down like they do with all thier "partners".

Yes I haven't quite experienced a console game with this many noticeable bugs/glitches until I played DA:O. The worst thing about these technical issues is that they damage the player experience.
On top of that, to see all the DLC being hammered out (which is buggy as well), and along with the lack of support and acknowledgment, I have found it very frustrating over time.
I was considering purchasing Awakenings, but after seeing all the issues with it on these forums I've decided against it.
This game was obviously primarily created for the PC, but that's no excuse for what the console ports have had to endure...

Bump for greater justice! >_<
No really, going to keep this post at the first page as often as possible so that a dev or Cmod might actually give us some info on what we might expect as a playstation 3 user when it comes to Dragonage2.
