I plan to definitely it is cheap to get the box set (like $20) and I get all those interesting expansions + both gamesLuke Bioware wrote...
There are so many things in this game I never saw again, even in a BioWare game. With BGT or Tutu (plus the optional fixpacks and widescreen mod) this game is still worth your time, in triple.

What I am angering about in the last few years is the fact that every "colossal" RPG (if we may call them this way) MUST be voiced 100%, or else some reviewers might start bashing the developers with "eeew, why no voicing, I am not capable enough for reading!!"
Without fully voiced dialogues, Baldur's Gate made an epic storyline heavily based on the dialogue system. That was one of the major points for why Dragon Age Origins wasn't the real 100% spiritual successor to the series.
Not to mention the incredible tactics you can make during the game, the almost infinite numbers of solving or NOT a battle, even the engine itself. While graphically it is quite old, every single environment, the single tree, a house, all drawn. The game wasn't a simple RPG... it was a work of art.

I have the Baldur's Gate 4-in-1 box set. There's no manuals or anything, but you get both games with their respective expansion packs.
Also if you're unlucky like me, you'll have to jump through some hoops to get the games to run well in widescreen. BG2 is not an issue, but BG was slow and I forget what I did to fix that.

Same for KotoR, but my friend assured me that it works fine on 7

I can confirm it for both games. Windows 7 (64) here and Knights works through Steam. Baldur's Gate part one is beautiful through Tutu (or BGT) and the widescreen mod if you want that. I prefer windowed (1280 by 1024). I played it that way back in the day and else you see too much of the area in my opinion.
Awesome I'll pick these up ASAP then

Funnily, I managed to look past in it PS: T, since the game was short

You can read much faster than listening to the voice actors. IE games contain so much text it would make the audiobook version of War and Peace look like a walk in the park.

I have to say, voice acting is about the least important part of any game for me. I hardly ever play with the sound on!dark-lauron wrote...
Strange, that's exactly my problem with newer games : 100% voice acting. Damn, for all I know, the Baldur's Gate series read was longer than any other book I read!
