So what was your in-game favorite fighting style?
I have to go with White Demon, nothing like a nice powerful fist-punch to the enemies
Favorite fighting style?

White Demon and Tiger Claw, depends on enemies.
But Paralizing Palm saved me from a lot of reloading.

One of my favorite styles in the game was the chi fist. I love the ability to absob your enemies chi. Then switch to a rock style or Fire making it even more fun. I think the combat system had some serious potential. It just needed to be tweaked more. One of my favorite moves in the game was the mighty jump from oneside of combat area to the other. It made be feel like Bruce lee on red bull!

Legendary Strike. It's the most balanced style and is good in any situation.
Weapon styles, I used the Sword the most.
Haven't much used the magic styles, I need to do another playthrough using them more often.

I remember the it now. The fighting style was Spirit Theif. This was my favorite fighting style. Because it would help me recharge my health and my magic fighting. If it wasn't for that style I wouldn't have been able to beat it on Insane. or the hardest difficulty.

Storm Dragon is the only one I remember.

My favorite was Hidden Fist purely for aesthetic reasons. I loved how my character would swat at people with one hand and only use the other when she did the powerful looking area attack or threw sand. It was a bit cheesy, being another overpowered stunning style, but looked badass.
My preferred style set-up after having played Jade Empire lots of times was White Demon + Legendary Strike + Hidden Fist + Tempest or Tang's Vengeance. I used Spirit Thief when needed, but it was rarely in one of the four control pad slots. My character kicked often since those martial styles are kick centric. When she switched to Hidden Fist or used White Demon's punch attack it was because she meant business.
It's kind of corny in that anime way, but I liked the idea she would only resort to punches or weapons against worthy opponents.

I went with Legendary Strike, Sword, Storm Dragon and the Earth one.

I think my favorite build was Leaping Tiger/Stone Immortal/Crimson Tears/Spirit Thief.
I'm tempted to say Spirit Thief just because of how essential it is in the game. But I'm also fond of Stone Immortal (because I liked the tree growing out of the top of the stoned opponent).

Storm Dragon for me. The area attack had a real "You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind!" feel.

Yes, Spirit theif is deadly. I love the fact both styles could get it.

Overall I'd have to say Jade Golem because of how powerful it was. In fact I preferred Transformation styles over Magic until I got Tempest or if I was playing Open Palm. Even the Toad Demon was still decent if built up - I always fought Sir Roderick with it.
Martial: Thousand Cuts
Support: Heavenly Wave
Weapon: Crimson Tears
Magic: Tempest if on Closed Fist playthrough

it's a bit difficult to decide on one style in particular, but I guess Viper was the best for me, of all original (non-modded) styles.
Then of course spirit thief is a bonus, red minister grants you some immunity, storm dragon gives enemies a refreshing 5000V electricity jolt, toad demon spits and poisons everything, and demon sword wreaks havoc. I guess it depends on the context

Leaping Tiger. I love the jumping, great for dodging. I can do without the claws though.

Am I the only one who loved the Staff? It just looks so cool. Staff, Legendary Strike, and Spirit Thief - you're in a Hong Kong action flick!

Drunken Master!
I'm using a character who I have given the name Raging Bull. Hes a very slow moving one. I mostly use white demon with him and the sword style. I have to say its really fun just using him like this. It makes a lot of sense, but I think I'll use a magic monk as my next character and use DRunken Master as my ultimate style for my full on evil character. Right now I'm using just a neutral one. I've never seen a neutral ending, but I'm going that route. Will have to see. For now long moon sword is doing me fine, but I have been using Drunken master from time to time and I have to say its a lot of fun. Its just not good against. The Gigantic Rhino dudes.

I always used Legendary Strike... great in every situation.
I really like the animation on HIdden Fist, so when I get the PC version I'll mod it so Hidden Fist is more like a martial style.

hmm
Martial: Leaping Tiger
Support : Storm Dragon
Magic: Tempest
Weapon: Dual Sabers (forget what they call it)
Transformation: didn't like any of these
But I also see some styles mentioned above I haven't seen. Hopefully I will find those.
