I think SW:TOR is going to be great. From a point of view it is the sequel of the KOTOR series and very single player friendly. While you can still pick dark/light side etc.

If someone would confirm that KOTOR 3 was in development I would have to stop whatever I was doing and just think about the sweet day it gets released for an hour at least. It would really be a long time dream come true.

It unknown that bioware will make a KotOR 3 but i do know the date of TOR's EU release date since i already pre-ordered it this week

I hate MMOs they are a waste of money I'm not going throw my money down the drain to pay monthly fees when I can play much better games for free. I would love a real Kotor 3

Well I like MMO's, but I don't look at 'em for the same kind of goodies I want out of a single-player RPG.



Maybe TOR will change that.

in all seriousness though, that timeline/video thing on the ToR website is such a B.S. plot copout, i was a huge KotOR fan and am now seriously considering not playing ToR if the rest of the videos and explanations are as full of crap as the current ones are.

Become a game developer. Make your own company. Then petition to LucasArts to allow you to make KOTOR 3. Problem solved.

Because it's not their choice. BioWare do NOT own the rights to Star Wars, The Old Republic, Knights of the Old Republic nor any other Star Wars franchise.

I hoped for a KotOR 3 for a long time, but I think ToR will be good enough for me. The character I played as in the first one isn't "canon" anyway. Not to sound bitter about old news or anything, but it's still slightly annoying that they couldn't just keep such a character more ambiguous in the official story.

Drew Karpyshyn's got a new book coming out soon, literally called "Revan" - it's basically gonna cover alot of the timeline between the KotOR games and TOR.

Is anyone wondering whether the success of the MMO will outweigh the success of a Kotor3 game? I'm very curious to see the outcome of this (when the game is released).

I desperately wanted a K3 not a MMO, I have been following the online progress/videos that have been uploaded but it still won't convince me to buy the game. It's K3 or nothing, and since SWTOR is out (relatively) soon, I guess it's nothing for me. I'll just stick with ME1/2/3.
