Watching the Banter between Sten and Dog if they are chosen to come rescue you from the keep after your captured/surrender.

You can choose who is sent to rescue you?

Yes, certain party member combos are better then others.  Sten+Dog, and Zevran+Ohgren are the funniest.

I always had Leliana and Morrigan rescue me, not that I am complaining, but rather enjoying that. However, I never had the chance to say who gets to rescue me.

Maybe the ones who rescue you are the ones with highest approval rates?

On the PC you can definitely select your rescuers. There's a small conversation with either Alistair (if he's captured with you) or an unnamed prisoner in the cell next door. You choose your rescuer depending upon what conversational choices you select.

Edit: I recommend picking the 'Broma brothers' (Oghren and Zevran) at least once.

I play on the PC, but I never got to choose!

...well, I only got to the prison part twice; I managed to escape the 1st and only in the second did I get rescued. I do remember being surprised by watching Morrigan and Zevran agreeing so strongly on a subject! They were the 2 characters with the highest approval at the time (except for the dog), so that's why I assumed that was how the system decided who was most keen on rescuing the PC.

Then it would be random for me, since Feastday allowed my characters max approval throughout the board :P

On the PC you definitely get to choose. Alistair or the guy in the next cell asks who you think will come and your answers determine the rescue party.

Mine was the first time I took off the head of the Howe knight as a 2H warrior in Cousland castle and got the Executioner's helm as a bonus. I can't tell you how gratified I was to finally do that SOB and repay him for all the virtual deaths he gave me while I was learning to play the game.

High Dragon fight with my Dwarf Commoner DW(minor archary) Warrior. Started out decent enough, then Alistair went down. Wynne revived him only to fall herself in an AoE hit, followed by Al once more, leaving me and Leli at range with our bows. Lel's wolf pulled aggro for a short time then went splat. Lel hit a few more times before dropping herself. Leaving Emlin all alone against the t'ed off High Dragon. Ran around the field for a bit, enough to get Wynne revived from her Vassel and toss a few stamina buff of me before setting her to auto-attack. She didn't last much longer then.

By then the dragon was fairly low health so I shruged fatalisticly (was during a no reload challenge) and set to fight. I was exceptionally surprised to see the beinging of the death blow animation for her. Most satisfying fight in DA:O yet.

It would have to be walking through the fire right before the sacred ashes with all my gear on, then telling the Guardian that he "has his head in the clouds." I love decapitating that guy. He is such a tool

Im not sure about most satisfying but this stood out to me the most.

When I fought the Dragon at the Urn of Sacred Ashes, I had Alistair tanking for me. While I was setting up the rest of my party, I noticed Alistair got knocked back really, really far. Since everyone was already where I wanted them, I selected Alistair to control him personally.

What happened next really stood out for me.

The Camera was in such an angle that I was looking up at the Dragon from a short distance away, with Alistair in his Juggernaut Armor. He literally looked like a knight in shining armor about to slay the dragon to rescue the princess.

And amidst this ever so classic scene, Alistair in awe, quietly whispers, "Wow.."

I think that moment will be what I will remember the most when I think back to Dragon Age.

Landing the Samurai finisher on a Hurlock Alpha during the battle against the Archdemon, AND having Alistair double slice-shield uppercut another Hurlock Alpha in the same battle. Felt like 300 to me!

Each deep bellow of the Archdemon when it was hit with a ballista bolt.

Every sovereign earned in the final stages of the game when remembering the early days of coppers.

Having my nephew ask me to train him so he could wield his Sword of Truthiness.

Having my mother berate my Father for defining the term wench.

Having a friend like Gorim, and losing a friend like Leske.

Hearing Morrigan's voice tremble when she calls me her friend.
