Idea inspired from Kotor 2 cut content, There is a padawan named Kaevee. I was thinking, she might be a potential character to be used. my idea is that have Kaevee as a Jedi Sentinel that specialize in both Jedi Shadow and Matukai Adept. Her starting sidequest involving gaining her trust at Dantioone by training with her. And you can recruit her.

 

Game expansion:

 

At Tattione, you meet up with Seviole, if Kaevee is in the party, both of them talk to each other. They develop a plan, you recruit Seviole and Wedge. Kaevee,  and T3-M4 have two sidequests together. Well both of them lead to the Rakata Temple overtaken by the Krath. You, Seviole, Kaevee,  Wedge and T3-M4 have to fight them to free the Matukai Adepts. Some of them have been corrupted to the Dark Side and know it and if spared they will join the Sith later. Wedge has a sidequest that involves finding his parents(it doesn't end well for them).

 

 

Kayyyak/Wookieeworld,  Krath are harvesting Syren Plants(they are large man eating plants) for poison for a new weapon. Bastila, Big Z, Canderous, and Hk-47 are more useful in addition to Seviole  Wedge and Kaevee. Bastila and Seviole "gets" eaten by Syren Plant to escape the Krath. Seviole Disables the Syren Plant to make it safe for them. they wait it out and disable the Krath's operation and learning the connection between Exchange, Krath and the Sith. Also Wedge,

 

Manaan: If You spared the Corrupted Matukai Adepts, a Previously encounter Matukai Adept will ask you to go to Manaan if they joined the Sith. If Not spared, the same Matuaki Adepts you saved, can help you with the battle with the Krath and the Sith.

i am wondering if the player finds Arren Kae in stasis and able to rescue her. Would you guys like Arren Kae to be a joinable character for Late game?

KOTOR is fine the way it is with Disney owning it expect a lot of generic black,and white scenarios aka good vs bad,instead of grey aka complex/real base scenarios. Still KOTOR felt like a true fantasy/rpg (game) in the Star wars universe,despite the fact it was my first western rpg game.   Dang Bioware you got me additive to western rpgs. Not that I'm complaining.

Good story,gameplay mechanics, good light and dark side powers and looks. An  d light sabers

For example, would you like 3 new Jedi Classes?

 

Jedi Shadow: A blending of Stealth, Sneak attacks and other skills, this Jedi Class is directly related to Jedi Sentinel class. A Independent mind Jedi that travels to system to system working behind the scene to solve crimes, find conspiracies, find threats to the galaxy and hunt Dark Siders. Sometimes will work with Jedi Watchmen to bring peace to the galaxy.

 

Jedi BattleMaster: Devoted Lightsaber Master/Martial arts Master. this is a Jedi Guardian class that is design for Leadership and combat readiness. Not as much force abilities compared to the Jedi Guardian but has greater combat proweness.

 

Jedi Watchman: A Behind the Scene Jedi Counslar that work with a government to bring peace and will work with Jedi Shadows. Can learn sneak attacks and stealth abilities

 

 

Well able to tri class with your Player Character and upgrade your companions.  For Example, Bastila due to her battle mediation has a choice between Jedi Battle Master or Jedi Shadow. Juhani has upgrade to Jedi Shadow or another Jedi class. Also Jolee can upgrade to Jedi Watchman.

 

 

Lightsaber forms are a given. Potential Idea, Lightsaber hybrid forms, Nemesis Lightsaber form's requirements can be Ataru Mastery and Juyo Mastery before it can avaible to use.  And Martial Arts feats for both Jedi and Non Jedi is a must.  Like Echani, Teras Kersai, Ninjutsu(i would love to see a ninja within star wars) and other martial arts can be used by all characters. Force forms from Kotor 2 should be usable. 

 

 

Another thing, Would a massive side quest that involves planet hopping and the Krath? and yes it does involve a new Lady Jedi that is a Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Shadow and she has ties to Revan's past.

 

Also What do you think of Dark Jedi loyal to Revan saving Revan's life at leviathan and dying on the Ebon Hawk and talking about the past? What is floating in my head is that this Dark Jedi has ties to Revan and Seviole the Lady Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Shadow and yes it is a tearjerker. Well Xanatos is his name and he is a comedic relief character and has a fondness of running and saying Bananas in the most comedic way possible. Also Due to Closeness between Seviole and Xanatos, She takes his death very hard. Revan does mourn for that what have could have been and the forgotten friendship they had.

A part of this thread is for fun. there will be several including me would play a remake and a good remake will attract many new players to bioware. A good remake of Kotor 1 and 2 that have good synergy to each other and potentially a Kotor 3 as well can make Bioware a lot of money and player loyality from new and old players a like. People like me want Bioware to be successful and a remake can do that.

 

 

 

ToR might not last forever and what I have heard that it was a 5 year contract. Another thing, A good Remake could become Canon for Star wars

Only just got around to playing KOTOR for the first time (just finished it).

Very good game, stands up pretty well. It looks a bit dated of course and some things could definitely be improved but I don't see any need for a remake, not that I'd say no to one. It just doesn't really need it.

Just because a person plays 1 game, it doesn't mean they can't play other games. Also Not everyone is into MMOs.  A good company does need diversity to increase their cash flow. And ToR will not last forever, And Bioware is reliable to making good games and yes there is money in single player games as well as MMOs.

Another thing, if there was a remake of Kotor 1 and 2, it should be balance of new and old content to attract Veterans and new players a lot. Too much new content that is out of place of Kotor 1 and 2 will not make them enjoyable but new content to keep it fresh. More Feats and Force abilities are good, New storylines that fit into the Kotor 1 and 2 worlds while keeping the old charm of the original games. Maybe a few new planets.

They did remake it. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Collection. Updated with new graphics, all bugs fixed.

It's for PC only and came out in the fall of 2013

Just curious, if there was a Taris Related side quest that involves Celeste Morne of Star Wars Vectors mini series. I was thinking of you as Revan, while remembering that there was a massive battle involving the Mandalorians, you remember Celeste Morne for some odd reasons, and over time while on taris, you find memory hints that related to Jedi and Celeste during the Mandalorian Wars, over time you find her Holocron and recover a few of her lightsabers and learn a Jedi Class and or Jedi ability.

 

 

You can learn the Jedi Shadow from her holocron if you choose too. Also you can give the Holocron and few lightsabers and Jedi items over to the Jedi Council on the Dantioone. No this sidequest will not tell you that you are Revan but put what Revan did on Taris, in greater context. Also explores Revan's relationship to Celeste Morne and to the Jedi group on Taris. In short make Canon some elements of Knights of the Old Republic comic books. I don't know if anyone would like Celeste Morne to become canon, and Yes I am a fan of hers.

Just replayed Kotor 1 and Kotor 2 a couple weeks ago for the millionth time.  Neither need to be remade, they are stellar games as is minus the fact that Kotor 2's ending was incomplete and rushed.  Instead, what the series needs  a third installment.  Or needed.

 

SWTOR was fun for a while, but never did I feel like I was playing a followup to the Kotor universe.  Hell, I'd even love to see a Kotor game set earlier in the Great Hyperspace War with Exar Kun or a game set in the Mandalorian Wars.  Both Kotors tell us Revan was a genius tactician, wouldn't it be cool to see it in action? 

 

My only concern would be if they could recapture the magic of the original.  2015 is such a different time than early 2000s for video games, when you had smaller studios making amazing games with lower budgets and less expectations than if EA's name is on it with millions upon million of dollars invested. Neither of Bioware's founders are still at the company, and I haven't been fanatical about a Bioware game since ME2.  At this point, I'd rather have Obsidian do Kotor 3, though EA holds the publishing rights and that would be the equivilent of outsourcing while the franchise's inventor is in-house.  So we'll see. 

 

I'm not hopeful in 2015 for Kotor 3.  There is such a massive gap between Kotor 2 and now in terms of technology and, well, time.  The third game would look completely different, feel completely different, and be made by different people for a different audience.  I love both of my Kotor games, and it's unfortunate, but I don't think they will get their well-deserved sequel that ideally should've happened a while ago and instead of SWTOR.   Part of what makes me love Kotor is it represents a time when I was 11 years old and could shut myself in my room while exploring the galaxy with excellent companions and a compelling story with all the time in the world.  I don't know if any game can recreate that.
