I was disappointed with KOTOR 2 TSL and would like to see that game re-released as a finished product.

I'd pay for KOTOR all over again if it was updated for the new consoles. I play my xbox version on the 360 at least once a year and it's tough with all the glitchy-ness.
If you're a PC player who plans on posting "just get the PC version", don't. This isn't about the PC version, it's about the console version.
Personally, I think it would be an easy sell. You update the graphics, heck the voice work is already done, update the interface, add new weapons items, armor, lightsaber crafting stuff (crystals, etc) and drop in some new side quests, perhaps put in some of the ideas that were originally cut and BOOM, instant seller.
That way you're not changing the original story but updating the combat difficulty, level cap, force powers, items etc.
There is already a precedent within Lucasfilm itself in the Monkey Island series. Even some of the old Sierra games (KQ1 for instance) were re-released with updated graphics.
Once again, Bioware, I'd buy it and many others will too. Even those that post here that it's a bad idea and they'd never buy it would upon seeing it's glory- don't roll your eyes, you all know it's true.
Yea, I want to see a remake of Kotor and Kotor 2 developed by BioWare not Obsidian Entertainment.

The reason why they probably stopped making console based KOTOR games was because of Mass Effect? I don't know but my theory is, Bioware already has a space sci-fi game and it would be a large investment of time and effort in their part to create another game with the same kind of element.
How about this Bioware? After the trilogy of Mass Effect is finished, maybe you could start another KOTOR installment to keep us Bioware RPG fans satisfied until you plan to release another Mass Effect saga which hopefully won't take too long like Duke Nukem.

I wouldn't mind a patch for PC KOTOR, which could improve a few things for modern systems.
Things that could use improving are...
1. Native Widescreen Support.
2. Support for high resolution (1920x1080)
3. Scalable UI for use with high resolution.
Ok, that is all I can think of right now, but I do get upset that I have to work to get KOTOR to play with my modern setup, and it doesn't look as good as an updated game client could provide.
I don't know much about programming, but this doesn't seem like it would take much effort.
Perhaps they could release a patch for KOTOR around new years, a few months before TOR launches.
I concur, also, updated texture resolutions and character models.

It's not Bioware's jurisdiction on KOTOR being remade (though they do carry impact). It is up to LucasArts to get their heads off their asses, talk to Sony and Microsoft about having a remake on the online networks, and hopefully have Bioware remake the game in HD with improved graphics and 60 frames per second.yesikareyes wrote...
I was so thrilled when I found out that KOTOR would have a sequel and then when I found out it was going to be made for PC instead and it will be a MMORPG, I just freaked. I'm going to miss Atton, Mandalore and so many characters!<br />

They aren't going to create a new SW game that will directly compete with their SW MMO.

I'm also a huge fan of the dialog system from Mass Effect. It was great in that game, great in DA2, and I say put it in the remaster if you make it.
New character creator, at least comparable to ME/DA if not better. New weapons/armor/items etc. A lightsaber building mini game couldn't hurt either; I've just had this idea of tons of parts splayed on a workbench and then assembled in any number of ways to create a unique model to play with. I don't know how that would actually be implemented, if it can be done at all but it would be great. And of course a great toolset release for PC mods, can't do without that.
Some say that we shouldn't live in the past and should be pushing for developers to create NEW things and leave the classics where they are. That's true enough for most games I think, and I am excited to see new projects come along, but this is definitely one that deserves an update in my opinion. I would buy it no question. Be it $40, $50, or $100.
