http://starwars.wiki...iki/Syren_Plant

it would be interesting for Revan to hide in one by either cutting the "nerves" of the Syren Plant or use a Force bubble. While Revan lures several dark jedi into a trap by using other Syren Plants to eat the other dark jedi.

I do say do both.

Kotor 1 Special Edition should have good synergy with Kotor 2. Kotor 3 has good synergy with Kotor 1 and 2 regardless of the Kotor 3 Player Character.

Kotor 1 theme is about Redemption of Sith Lord Revan. So make it for Role Playing purposes, that the supposed fake memories that the Jedi council never stuck on Revan and he is suffers from anmesia and within the dialogue that you suffer an accident that you lost your memories but the Jedi are "helping" to rebuild them. For their reasons are unknown.

But at the same time, you could have the "fake memories" to take hold as well.

Either way, Jedi wants you to assist them in the war effort and tied to Bastila Shan.

Specialization:Base classes

Soldier:

Commando: Team oriented offense based Blaster Soldier

Merc: Tanking Soldier

Scout:

Vanguard: A Force Resistance Duel Wielding Scout that often goes on Point and able to take on Force Users.

Ranger: A Recon Scout.

Scoundrel:

Inflirator: A Stealthy Agent that hacks.

Con Man: A smooth talking Con Man that finds a good mark.

Specialization: Playable Jedi.

Jedi Guardian:

Jedi WarBlade: Ataru loving Jedi that uses double blade lightsaber.

Jedi Battle Master: A Battle Harden Jedi Commander that sustains good DPS with his lightsabers while strengthen his team thru the force.

Jedi Sentinel:

Nemesis: Strengthen the body and the mind thru  Martial arts. Also incorpates stealth training. Also able to shutdown many enemies and weaken enemy force users's connection to the force. Masters of Niman and Juyo.

Bastion: Masters of defense. Bastion are defenders of Jedi. Excellent of the Force and Duelist.

Jedi Consular:

NightBlade: A Sneaky Jedi Consular.

Jedi Sage: Jedi Duelist and Jedi Consular that blends together and strong in the force.

regardless if my ideas are any good, At least we can argee on that Kotor 1 Special Edition would be a good idea.

Quest should be plentiful. Have the Geoharadan as a joinable faction in full.

Keep current combat feats but add new ones.

For Example, Jedi Sentinel/Nemesis will get a Stun combat ability. A Well Build Nemesis would have excellent stuns and lock downs regardless of enemy.

It would be amazing--I don't think you'd find anyone to argue against it here. I think it's just the inevitability that it's not ever going to happen that makes it hard to put your heart and head into thinking about it. If they re-released it with some extra content from years and years past that they took out, like Sleheron with Yuthura's past, it would be incredible, but I can't see it happening.

However, Bioware did make a comment in a press release saying that they were taking a look back at the Bioware 'vault'...whatever that means. Could be sweet. Could be they're thinking about their roots.

In any case, I think it would be too much work and too little profit for them to really do it considering swtor's recent release and the focus put into keeping that going. But thinking about what could be added/tweaked and how fantastic it would be is definitely nice.

Well I do think due to that Bioware is owned by EA and Bioware has to work out a deal with both Microsoft and Lucas Arts to have a Kotor 1 Special Edition or a Kotor 3.

I don't know if the fans want a Kotor 1 or 2 special edition or Kotor 3, for many of them moved on to greener pastures.

While I am one of the few admitted that would play it.

They could have the same game but with more possibilites. Maybe throw in a ME type system where choices you make affect the ending. I would definitely throw my money at BioWare for a Kotor: SE.

Remember the Light sided ending where Master Vandar reveals Revan's identity to the Republic Forces party.

Well I am thinking before the Ebon Hawk crew gets their medals, Have Revan, Hk-47, New Sith Assassin character, and T3-M4 in the shadows, talking to Vandar to tell him that he shouldn't be up there and let Darth Revan die and let the Republic Forces enjoy their victory over The Sith.

A Suicide ending for Revan and New Sith Assassin character as the both of them die on the star forge.

Restore Dark Side Female Revan/ Carth death scene.

Fatalities on Bosses and by Bosses.

For example, Having Bastila kill Revan and she kills Malak and Runs the Sith.

Or

Have Malak kills Revan and shows Malak draining Revan to death.

At least one new recruitable character from Revan's past other than Hk-47.

At least 4 or more planets.

More sensible plotlines that related to both Revan and the Jedi Civil War. For example, Geoharadan and the Krath as factions, fighting each other and their involvement in the bigger picture of the Jedi Civil War.

Yuthura's slave world

Rakatan Temple of Tatioone and star map.

A Dream sequence Where you control revan during his death scene and what s/he is thinking before s/he go un conscience.

Plotline: Bastila walks to Revan's body, Revan touches Bastila's face and mind. Show some images, Bastila bonds with Revan's mind to find out the meanings of those images.

Revan is pick up by two very physical strong jedi.

Finish the level while using Bastila Shan.

A modified Sith Armor that is similar Revan's old armor but without the cape.

There are 6 different versions of it based on Jedi specializations.

Bastila's Specialization: Jedi champion. This specialization gives bonus to Double Lightsaber in its passives.

Possible Passive Stances:

Healer:
Effect: Entire Team.
Health Regeneration: +4
Force Regeneration: +4

Defender:
Effect: Entire Team
Defense; +4
Saving Throws:+4
Force Resistance:+4
Physical Resistance:+4

Aggressive:
Effect: Entire Team
Attack:+6
Damage:+6
Critical Threat:+1

There are at least 2 more interchangable passive stance Bastila can use. Also Bastila is a practioner of Broken Gate martial art. Knows both Ataru and Force channel.

Nemesis and Bastion of the Jedi Sentinel Specialization are considered to be Jedi Shadows due to their stealth and recon training. Nemesis are more offensive with good to great burst damage. Bastion is more of a nightblade in such that they are better force users than Nemesis. Also Bastion has an ability to boost Force shield. And use Force Shield to stop many enemies and attacks.

How about this as a dream way of how it'd go down- KOTOR 1 and 2, with all the cut content from 2 pre-installed (I can see EA cutting out the unfinished content since there's no online), in the Unreal 3 engine (Or whatever BioWare can cook up), a team up with Obsidian, and every month or so, pick a few mods and release them on LIVE and Playstation Network (Such as KOTOR 1's Brotherood of Shadow), and to top it all off? A weapon/armour creator so you can make your own gear and sell it online (Like Halo's file share), and earn small amounts of Money whenever they're downloaded (If massive gear like new characters- unless in big pack, weapons/armour would be free). And Obsidian doign the writing- let BioWare make the game run, and let Obsidian make a great script.

But here's how EA/Activision would do it- make them add multiplayer, completely change the game to a Gears Of War like game with Regenerating Health, give them a harsh deadline, make them cut out some content (Like Arkham City's Catwoman DLC), and make them sell the new mods-as-DLC and the creation tool as a $20 pack, and then only give you a few cents for your efforts. Also? Compulsary and completly uneeeded sex scene.

Either way, I'd be there on launch day if BioWare and Obsidian were to come together and make it.

According a person at bioware, he doesn't know if or when Kotor special edition. Personally I would love to have many of the force abilities and feats of Kotor 2 to appear within Kotor 1 special edition.

As Revan's amnesia/brainwashing,

There are two main roleplaying methods(yes it does include more dialogue) Brainwashed and Amnesia.

Brainwashed: your character genunie that he is that class. Believes Bastila and the Jedi Council, Praising them and very black and white world view.

Amnesia: Highly cautious, questioning everyone. Doesn't trust Bastila, Trust the Jedi Council even less. Intense hatred of Malak. Very Grey world view. Often question the Jedi Worldview.

Within the game itself, Carth, Saul, Bastila, Kahyyysk's Computer, Darth Malak and Temple of Elders Computer's dialogue will adjust to if you are going with Brainwashed or Amnesia.

Both Brainwashed and Amnesia has both dark and light dialogue suited for them.

Dialogue tied to Intelligence, skills, Martial arts, Lightsaber forms and Force Forms.

For example, Revan has a long lecture of the value of the well trained individual, martial arts and why the Mandalorians were so very successful inflicting massive damage to the Republic despite the Mandalorians having a smaller force.

As for more indepth storyline for current planets, For example with Korriban, Ajunta Pall leads you thru a various areas of Korriban. Each area has some lore on the Sith, good gear for force users, many enemies including dark sided creatures. The end of the storyline, you and Ajunta Pall defeat several Sith Lords that are secretly loyal to the Sith Emperor. Then Ajunta Pall saves your live by using the force to heal your body to full capabilities.

Taris: having a Long Quest line is that is High Octane Nightmare Fuel involving Rakghouls, a creepy pristine white lab, A mad human ghoul, a white wookie ghoul, A long sewer chase being chase by several hundred rakghouls. More Rakghouls types. Each Rakghouls are based on the species that the mutated from. For example, Orges are former wookies that are turned Rakghouls. Twi Leks Rakghouls still have headtails and they command other Rakghouls to attack their prey. Given with the stock species breeds of Rakghouls. All Rakghouls breeds will have more unique rakghouls types. a Rakghoul brute is a stronger and tougher of the Rakghouls regardless of the sock species.

Rodian and Wookiee Rakghouls do have berserker as an enemy types. Yes there are Rakghoul Orge Bersekers and yes they are an elite boss.

As for Regenerating health for characters, There will be at least one tree for Regenerating health. At Level 1, Revan will get One of these regenerating feats. And Proper respeced, you have all of your characters will have good health regeneration while maintaining a solid build.

At level 1, Revan will get 1 martial art feat(Taijutsu), Republic Asssault training and at least 2 new class unique feats. For Example, Soldier and Jedi Guardian will get Warrior's Awareness and Warrior's Awareness improves critical while in battle.

DeathScepter, I really don' t know why your going into these extremely long detailed things you have made up about a special edition for this game. The initial focus really should just be on getting something.... ANYTHING to happen with this game. Your way ahead of yourself with all these made of special powers and feats and things they need to add to the game for a special edition. Which by the way it seems like most people are just ignoring these long rants your posting.

Personally anything they want to do that involves any type of update to this game would be good, even if at a minimum they just updated the graphics and cut scenes.

I am playing through KOTOR right now, I have not played this game in some time as I have been really into Dragon Age and I can certainly say wow this game really is getting dated, It is coming up on 10 years now and it is showing. I do really hope that bioware will do SOMETHING with this game, anything really. I will always appreciate the game for what it is but I do very much want to see an updated version of the game.

Truth is we all know its extremely unlikely they are going to do anything with this game, it has been dead for a while and like most games will continue to be dead.

I think everybody can agree a polished updated version would be a breath of fresh air even if they didn't do anything of these whacky weird things DeathScepter is saying. I am playing through the game right now and the story is still great, the pacing is great, the characters are great, everything about the game is great except for a few things that stand out. Like the graphics, wow are they old, clunky and terrible looking by modern day standards, of course the game is still enjoyable and everything but it does take away from the gameplay being as to that it sticks out like a sore thumb. The very generic animations I also noticed take away from the realism. It is amazing how far things have come, it really is a testament to the game that after all this time is still holds up as well as it does, but the graphics are just down right not good enough. I'd like to see all these whacky things DeathScepter made up and then for some reason makes extremely long and ignored posts about in the game, but even if they don't change anything other than the graphic presentation and maybe some updated sound its great.

sometimes crazy is good. Many of my ideas are meant to be view and see if other fans would like it or hate it.

What is the point of An Special edition of Kotor 1 if the fans don't like the new ideas? Also improving graphics is always a good idea.

I'm all for a remake of both KotORs as long as they don't become what the Resident Evil remake was on Gamecube ( :crying: ).

For KotOR 1:
- updated graphics
- bonus side missions and planets
- restoration of cut content
- get rid of the d20 system combat but keep the turned-based portion of it.
- use the workbench, along with the skill/feats/powers revamp from KotOR 2
- a brand new character creator, like DA/ME/SWTOR, instead of choosing from a set of premade faces
- bring back as many of the original voice actors as possible
- voiced Revan (shoot me if you must), especially if we can still see all the dialogue, none of that ME paraphrased stuff.

KotOR 2 would need a lot more work because of how rushed it was, but here's what I'd like to see for a remake:
- updated graphics
- bonus side missions and planets
- restoration of cut content (not going to list it all because there's so much, but the ending and the HK Factory are the big ones, along with various conversations throughout the game)
- voiced Exile (see KotOR 1 suggestion above)
- import option from KotOR 1 into 2
- new, more customizable character creator (see KotOR 1 suggestion above)
- no more d20, keep turn-based combat
- bring back as many of the original voice actors as possible
- allowing both male and female Exile to recruit Handmaiden (Brianna) and Disciple (Mical) (since it's canon that both join the Exile)
- add an influence bar so companions' influence level isn't a mystery, add more influence opportunities and/or gifts
- give some companions more conversation options (Kreia gets the most, obviously, but Atton and Bao-Dur get very little.)
- romance arcs! Atton/Mical for FemExile and Visas/Brianna for DudeExile were heavily implied love interests, but nothing came of it (I read somewhere that the reason for this is that Obsidian didn't want to do romance arcs *sadface*)

I know that we may never see a remake, but that's what i'd like to see. As an added bonus, round up all the Revan novels and shoot them into the sun, remove Revan and the Exile from their horrible SWTOR cameos, and make KotOR 3. And yes, the color of the sky in my world is purple. ;)

some of the Revan novel should remind canon regardless if we like it or not. For example, Characterization of Lord Scourge, Darth Nyriss and Canderous, I do like a lot. and I do think Drew is cool. Keep in Mind that a lot of fans wanted to see what happen to both Jedi Exile and Revan.

I prefer Revan and Jedi Exile without a voice and out of TOR.

Having a New character creator would be cool.

Updated graphics is a must. Gifting would be nice.

For example, with Juhani, She might like Cathar knife or something relating to her heritage.

Canderous, Nice Unique Mandalorian Weapons.

Hk-47, A tri scope Aritech sniper to shoot someone that he loves in the knees.

Bastila Shan, Her father's holocron, Krayt Pearl or something Jedi Related.

Zaablar, Bacca's blade, Wookiee Berserker gear and weapons.

Jolee, No Clue

T3-M4, No Clue

Mission, a nice stealth belt for sneaking around to steal stuff

At least New Characters to join in Late game but help for every planet you visit. So you can order them to any following planets to be of some use.

The last part of my post was largely an "I wish". I love Drew too, but he should have cut Revan and the Exile out of the novel all together, renamed it "Scourge", and kept the story intact, only change the parts that Revan/Exile were directly involved with to fit around Scourge being solo instead (even if they had to introduce some throwaway character to help him with Nyriss and the Emperor).

I wanted to see what happened to Revan (even though mine is female) and the Exile as well, but after reading the novel and seeing what was done to them in SWTOR, I take it back. I'd rather have KotOR 3 explain what happened, not the disappointing hatchet job that was done to my beloved characters (especially the Exile, WHAT were they thinking?!).

Meetra can go, Sunik can say. So When People talk about her, Instead of Jedi Exile, Just Sunik for easy of use.

I have a idea for Kotor 3 that having Jedi Exile and Revan team up while keeping them silent progantist.

In Act 2, Revan goes into the Jedi Temple, Within the terminals after the conversation with Atris(yes you can flirt with her to change her mind on many things, be snarky, or yell at her), As Revan, you will go into the Character creator within the Terminal for the Jedi Exile, Like shepard from Mass effect series, Jedi Exile will have a last name. All of the defaults heads are there. Changing hair color, Hair lenght, and other things. Well Within Act 2, Revan starts dreaming about Jedi Exile within the Mandalorian Wars and everything including the history between you and the Jedi Exile will be there. Female Jedi Exile can potentially be a love interest of Male Revan, Male Jedi Exile is a potential love interest of Lady Revan. Well Within Act 2 explains how Jedi Exile and Revan trust each other and why Jedi Exile became the most trust general other than Malak.

Act 1 through 4 are quite depressing in different ways.

And I do argee with you on the Scourge and The Revan novel.

As for Kotor 1 special edition, Amnesia Revan and Jedi Council mistrust of each other should be there but subtle if played correctly. With me, I want this Kotor 1 special edition to have a lot of Roleplaying flexiblity. Including more dialogue, more planets, better gameplay(I do prefer d20 but including more feats, force powers and skills) and romances.

Force training is one feat that always for the jedi to have 1 more force ability per level. Increases Wisdom, Charisma, Force Resistances, Will Saves, and Force Pool. Force Training 2 and 3 are similar to Force Training 1. FT 2 has +2 force abilities per level, FT 3 has +3 Force Abilities per level.

Force Ability gain per level will be normal if your character rather focus their feats into something else.

And I have plenty of ideas for martial arts, new enemy types, roleplaying options and make Kotor 1 into an hardcore game.

I'm not really a fan of the set last name thing, having your one and only in Mass Effect call you by your last name while being all romantic was a bit... offputting. And I'm not a fan of the name "Meetra Surik" at all, she'll always be the Exile to me.

As for your second part... no, just no. Revan and the Exile are comrades and friends, NOT lovers. I wanted the throw my Kobo across the room when I was reading about how jealous the Exile was of Bastilia and how much she fangirled over Revan when she and Scourge rescued him. Why Drew, why did you do this to her?!

In my perfect world, you'd be able to import KotOR 1 data to KotOR 2, then KotOR 2 data into KotOR 3. K3 would be about the Exile finding Revan, who's been setting up a resistance to the Emperor. While the two of them + the resistance members you could recruit are going to other Empire-controlled planets, gathering data and whatnot, you'd be shown flashbacks of the Mandalorian Wars, what Revan did after KotOR 1, what the Exile did during their exile, stuff like that. Then they would finally confront the Emperor (final boss), defeat him, and return to Republic space, completely unaware that...

SWTOR SPOILER:

It's not the actual Emperor, it's the Emperor's Voice (like in the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior stories in SWTOR).

END SPOILER

Revan is reunited with Bastila (male) or Carth (female), while the Exile is reunited with Atton/Mical (female) or Brianna/Visas (male). And then unicorns fly through the rainbow-filled sky because hey, why not? :P

well it will not be "canon" but optional. Kotor 3, Revan should destroy a Star Chamber. Well I will not negate TOR by killing off the Emperor. It doesn't mean We can't defeat him one on one and the situation forces us to have at least two endings.

Light Sided ending that could lead into DLC.

Or an Non Canon ending where Revan kills the Emperor and becomes the new Emperor of the Sith Empire.

Well lets keep this thread for the Kotor 1 special edition not **** about Revan Novel.

Yes The Jedi Exile deserves some happiness. As for Revan, more depressing as better.
