As the title says post/sign if you would like to see BioWare make a sequel to the awesome RPG that is Jade Empire!

As much as I would like to see a Jade Empire sequel, it is not going to happen. They have said many times that it is not going to happen. One forum petition, even a dozen, is not going to change their minds.

I'm definitely in support of this. I'll post the link to anyone who wants to join the group. I'm a member myself. HERes it is http://social.bioware.com/group/572/

This group must group to gigantic proportions if we are to get a sequel. I will fight for JE 2. I want to worst than any other game. Reasons for it is because it is the most original Bioware game ever made. YEs. Bioware this game is more original than DA and ME. Why because it is truly your very own creation and it needs to be made again. Just this time I would like more customization like with shepard on my asian dude/chick!

Never hurts to show that we enjoyed and appreciatted the work they put into the title.

I just recently played threw this game after having it sit on the shelf and frankly I kicked myself for not playing threw it when I first got it.

Besides nothing stops the fans from wanting the sequel so there is no reason not to make the thread

I'm hoping to start making some art work. I'm even thinking of buying the game again. Only this time I'll get it for PC sense I no longer have an Xbox. Could use some good screen shots and I think fans of the genre would enjoy it. Unfortunately to many people gave up on the game. Now I would think bioware wouldn't mind making a sequel if it was on a new platform. Say the new 3Ds or even a mobile phone version. This would definitey be easy for them and they could make a little money off of it.

Ok I've been updating the group with new discussions. I'm hoping we can get more people involved. I'm going to say this now. I'm starting a War to get a sequel and I'm not one to give up. I'm going to be making banners as well. I'll have those up tomorrow. I don't have time to do it today, because I've got to go to work. I'll keep posting even if no one else does!

Yup, I'd really like a Jade Empire 2. It's a great game with a wonderful world that has yet to be fully explored. I really hope sometime down the line they make some sort of Jade Empire 2.

I went ahead and made a quick banner for the group and its followers and anyone who isn't interested in the group and would like to just support the cause please be my guess. I'm going to try to make some more skilled banners later this week. It will be my little on going project.

Actually, I'd like to see a sequel to KotOR before anything else (unfortunately my deside is not likely to come true soon, since they're making a Star Wars MMO), but I enjoyed my time at Jade Empire.

There were many things that could be improved but I like it and I would be happy to see a sequel.

A Jade Empire game would be great. I don't mind if it's not a direct sequel (like what they are doing with DA2) because Jade Empire ended pretty well, depending on your choices. Maybe they could move more into the future or something like that. But a direct sequel will still be cool!

And I think BW needs a game with the same colour palettes as Jade Empire. It's rather vibrant in comparison to its recent games (ME2 is close to the level of Jade Empire in different colours, but not quite)

It's also the only Asian-themed game that has characters that look realistically what they are supposed to look like (unlike games such as Dynasty Warriors, as much as I like them, they are too... exaggerated to the point of "fireworks").

This I agree. They took actual asian heads and scanned them into the PC to help mold the characters facial structures. I remember watching the making of it. Bioware did research for almost a year and a half coming up with the formula and story for Jade Empire. Its why I'm so disappointed they didn't come up with a sequel. I feel the game was a little to short for its tastes, but it truly was an original idea. Just the game didn't have the advertising like Mass effect had from the start. I mean people knew about it. It just wasn't as big. I mean if JAde empire 2 had a super bowl commerical I guarrantee it would sell over or closed to 5 million, but Bioware isn't thinking in numbers values. I mean yes we know mass effect was a success because it already had some big hollywood names on its market and the only reason people got into Star wars, because DAng it. Its star wars come on now. I bet if bioware was willing to give Jade Empire another chance and really look at it. Look at the new systems they have created and sit down with their writers from the first game. I bet they could come up with some serious new story for the game and really make it something fans and people could latch onto, but the thing is it would have to be timed right for the release date. It would have to get the proper advertising and it would really have to be made very well. I think if anything JAde empire to could be better than Mass effect. Bioware has really learned over the years and Jad Empire is one of the only games that is truly unique and its their own lisence. All Bioware is doing is just lossing more money by not making sequel and so is EA. I hate to say this. If its done right! and I will say it again. Right I would really pay off.

And Idea to really get fans attention and to maybe really give them a taste of the Jade Empire universe. They should make a trailer and if the hype with the trailer goes well. Maybe they just might reconsidered doing the game. I mean it wouldn't be to expensive to do a 3.oo minute trailer. I mean it might be a little money, but all they would do is a small. Trailer maybe they could ask the crew over at Kootra if they would want to do it. Who knows it just might pay off. All I'm stating here is maybe Bioware should keep am open mind about this game. Why? you say. Because its their property and if you have property you should take care of it and if not sell it to someone who would use it. I vote Obsidian!

I loved Jade Empire. I'll confess that I think it had a few flaws in it, though...and I think that's part of why I would really love a sequel. A great setting with a lot of potential that could be fleshed out into a new game.



Since JE is owned by Bio, I hope that eventually they'll return to it.

Bah, just make it a prequel. Remember Sky's talk about old legends and how some stories can mix together and how these supposed giant heroes were able to cut a mountain in half? Well, let's have a prequel when the Empire is just forming or something and let us blow up a mountain or something.

I don't care if they make it a flash game, I would really like a game with the look and feel of JE again. The design/style is a nice relief from all the dark atmospheres in ME2 and DA.

I agree. This is why I would like a JE empire game again. It gets bioware out of the I'm truly evil face and gives them. Maybe I'm kind fo arts again feel. Being dark and depressed all the time is just boring!
