I want cook TEH and Dishwasher Wong to return! Seriously, those guys were hilarious, and I am surprised that they have not become a huge meme.

Replaying this game again recently taking a small break due to being awful at the flying minigames but a remastered or sequel would be very nice. I ended up liking this game so much more than I thought I would despite it being on the short side and as silly as it sounds I loved what they did with the ending credits and having some of the VAs just talk in character kind of got a good laugh out of me and for some reason got me all nostalgic still not sure why on that front yet though ![]()

Just finished my first replay on the PC, it really left me yearning for another Jade Empire game. Sadly, I doubt we'll see one any time soon.

I saw a random screenshot from Jade Empire (well not entirely random, it was on a top 10 things for JE2 wishlist), and I immediatelly longed for the world of Jade Empire.. It has that effect.

/signed. I love Jade Empire, it is my favourite BW-game next to the KoToR-series. I spend so much hours with playing nonstop. Hell, even sidequests were so nice developed and fun. I would buy a sequel or a remake
Or both in a compilation.

To this date my favorite game, and having just replayed it again (I don't keep count, some things are best left a mystery, haha) I just wanted to add my voice to the crowd here and say yes, I would love a sequel or a remaster/remake.

I picked up Jade Empire for the first time about a week ago and have been playing it since. While the game clearly shows its age I find myself actually enjoying the combat, with its martial arts and fluid switching between styles, more fun than the combat in Inquisition or ME3. I also love its focus on Chinese folklore and mythology instead of the traditional western European. It's been far too long for a direct sequel in the ME style and I think a remake would be a waste of time, but something set in the same universe would be most welcome. Or at the very least a spiritual successor based on East Asian myth and culture.

I still say that a book or comic mini-series would be a great way to at least continue to show SOMETHING in this rich and untapped universe. We could see the origins of the Spirit Monk order, or one of Sagacious Tien's conflicts with the Horse Lords. Then, assuming that proves there's enough interest to prompt a sequel at long last, give us a story about the future of the setting - even if they have to select a particular ending (so most likely the Open Palm), it still allows the story of this universe to continue. I mean we got teased about Phoenix Gate all through Jade Empire, a tale set there is BEGGING to be told.

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on what mods I should install for JE?

It's kinda crazy because Jade empire is the reason I became a fan of Bioware in the first place.

I agree, I was dying to go else where in the empire. When I was told there wasn't a 2nd game it was a huge let down to find all this lore all of this world, only to be disappointed we'd never get to see it.

Aaryn Flynn said; I doubt the series was successful enough to score a green light from EA...
end of the story:(

Well I was really looking forward to the return of Fallout when I remembered the one game that really deserved some sort of sequel and never got one. Jade Empire was absolutely great and is one of the few games where I have replayed it over and over and not gotten tired of it. It's just too bad that Bioware won't take a cue from Bethesda and lay off Call of Mass Effect/ Dragon Age for a little while and return to follow up on their best and most original work.

Well then EA are even ore stupid than I thought - theres a massive market for this type of genre
We already have plenty of space shooters/modern shooters/Medieval fantasy rpgs
The reason Sleeping Dogs was such a good game was because even though it like GTA - it had the unque martial arts setting.
THere is a big hole that Jade Empire would easily fill.

Yeah, I keep saying, surely a book or comic, or, hell, even busts or hoodies (who wouldn't want Furious Ming's tattoo on a hoodie, right?) to test the waters, see if they get roughly similar returns as Mass Effect/Dragon age merchandise... That's really not that much to ask for, right? And if they get good returns, proving there's a market, we can get our sequel. It's been eighty-four ten, almost eleven years! I think we're due our sequel!

Wonder if it going for free on Origin will generate enough interest in the game for Bioware/EA to give it another look?
Or maybe, Just maybe, something JE2 related is in the works, and that's the reason why the game is being offered for free on Origin to drum up some interest? (I know its wishful thinking but still..)

For me, is a mistery seeing how bioware wants so badly direct their games to action, and forgets about jade empire wich is an action game at it's core. A sequel would be awesome.

I love this game.

Just a little OT. Can anyone tell me what the shrines in the Forest just before you choose the Inn or the Temple are? They trigger when you get near them making pools of light around you. What do you do with them?

Activating them will help you against spirits.
