A good reason is because it actually felt like you could run around with your character in the game. It felt like a sand box.

I'm replaying Jade Empire now, and again, I'm totally in love with "Asian" climate, styles, Jade Empire itself and Sky 
I really want JE2. Why didn't they announce it yet? Damn you BW!

I like to think the Mass Effect series and even Dragon Age games will only make JE2 even better because of all the things bioware learned from those games on what works and doesnt work. (aside from some of the hardcore fans likely agreeing with me)

Ah, I forgot the most important thing - JE2 should be muuuuuch more difficult. I beated it easily on JM mode, with harmonic combos it was a piece of cake. Please, I want it to be so friggin difficult, to die sometimes lol.

I vote for a JE2, but I'm not holding my breath. It's too bad it didn't have a toolset so we could mod it; I can think of lots of ways to add to it.

I would like that for the future if they did make a JE 2, plus maybe add a multiplayer element.

Like most Bioware games, the writing in Jade Empire was fantastic. The gameplay was not quite as kung-fu as I would have wanted, but the story and characters made up for it to me. After the great reveal in the ending, I would love to see the sequel, hopefully importing your first save so the choices you made would be carried forward like in Mass Effect 2.

If they were to make a game it would have to be a whole new one and if you wanted an import type of deal like mass effect you would definitely have to consider them making a JE 2 then a JE 3. That would be the only true way for it to work out mostly because the old save files for JE were on PC and the original Xbox.

Being able to transfer game saves would be cool. I only play games on the PC and always keep those ending saves.
I could see how it would be a problem for an Xbox person though. If they made it multi-platform that person most likely wouldn't be able to use their save, unlike the PC person.
