Does the no-reload thread belong in the "official campaigns" forum or are supposed to use Dark-Lauron's thread for that?

Official campaigns I guess. My group (see signature below) was only a bridge between the old forums and the social site. With the forums up, it's practically useless now. Of course, if someone wishes, it's still open for posting.

Definitely "official campaigns". We want our no-reload feats on proud display so the plebs may be suitably impressed :P

Ok, very good. I have a no-reload dwarven fighter in BG 2 at the moment and his chance of completing his run before the old forums close is close to zero. Just way too much content in BG 2 to breeze through, plus when I post updates like to include pictures of the interesting parts (like the PC being clobbered) because they seem more fun to read that way, though of course takes more time for me to do so.

ONE MORE QUESTION:
Forgot to ask, should the no-reload thread be a single thread for everyone like before, or separate for each run like Dark-Lauron's group?

I'd say it's easier to have them all in a single thread but that's just my opinion.

If you start a new no-reload thread, make sure to link back to the last thread in the old forum.

(Note: For some reason I can’t use the text editor in Opera. :( )

Yeah, a single thread is probably the most appropriate. It's the "official campaigns" forum and not the "no-reload" forum, after all.

You mean a single thread for both games? Well, I guess that could work, yes. Although it would get a bit filled much faster. Your call though :)

No. I meant like we currently do it; one thread for BG1 and another for BG2, each in their own forum. Hopefully we can get semi-regular locks on them though (say, every 50 pages or so), so we don't get those humongous monster threads.

I don't know. Have you seen the Mass Effect Tali thread? The thing has 9200+ pages... which means over 230 thousand posts in one single thread. I guess one could decide to start reading that thread when he's 10 and not finish it until death.

But maybe no one in that thread ever thought to ask the moderator to lock it so they could create a new one. : )

I think this is more a fault of the moderators. They should at least check back once in a while and take action.

My guess that whoever even TRIES to lock the Talimancer source no.1 thread, that specific moderator is a dead man. You ever met those fanatics? No, wait, fanatics is a compliment. Lunatics perhaps. You say Tali is ok, they kill you... literally.

Still, we have still our comprehensive, dare I say, best moderator of the forums, and I guess we could ask him to lock the thread every N posts.

Okidoki! Welcome and yes, a single thread for the BG1 and another for the BG2 no-reloads will be fine. I'll try to lock 'em up for a refresh whenever y'all feel they are getting overwhelmed.

Another question is, do we start at 1 again or go on with the 25th no-reload thread?

Guess whoever makes the no-reload thread first will get the final say, but I don't personally why not to call it "25th No-Reload", especially if that's the way it's been done since the 1st one. I don't see a reason not to continue traditions as long as they aren't harmful.

Hi! Pleb here. ;) I used to browse these no reload threads in the old forums on rainy days when I should have been doing housework. A lot of what I learned about BG2's hidden tricks came from players regaling us with these tales. Keeping it all in one thread until it gets too bloated makes it easier to follow along from the subscription page. :)

Somewhere where I wouldn't see it.

What? I gotta resist somehow!
