I still can't understand what were those children on Darksapwn cocnept... they born from a broodmother?  There were demons inside of them ? (or just were called abominations by the poor dwarf) 

maybe darkspawn from mabaries ?

I hope they dont just start making up random monsters and saying "thats a darkspawn!" I really like that they are all tainted and altered versions of something else. Well.....except for the damn children.

Actually it would be interesting to see what drake look like DArkafied!. I mean We know what a archdemon looks like. It would be cool to see mini-archdemons. Also We had halla! Seeing them Darkafied would be interesting as well. I would like to see how the taint would effect an abomination as well. Because you know nothing good would come from this. They say even demons avoid the black city. Bioware could create Tainted demons like desire or pride. I would love to fight a tainted pride demon. I mean they are already ugly. This would be one bad dude!

The Children were created from an Awakened Broodmother, who are the darkspawn response to Grey Wardens.  So, basically, darkspawn mutants.

It's likely that The Children are her only offspring after she Awakened.  Her attempt to pump out Awakened Hurlocks, like the Disciples or the Architect, though it failed sense they require a special recipe.  The other darkspawn we see under The Mother's control are likely the spawn of the Broodmothers she controlled.

New darkspawn species require another intelligent, humanoid species, because they require a Broodmother to birth from.  Broodmothers are created from tainted women who are fed members of her own species and raped over and over.

Though maybe if someone locked a Grey Warden up long enough and let the taint run its course, there would be a new species.

But yes, I'm sorta done with darkspawn.  There's really not any Blight-related reason they'd be in the Free Marches, anyway, since it's stated the Blight never made it out of Ferelden and none of the warbands got passed Orlais.

Yeah, I'm hoping we get an entirely new mythology to work with, at least to supplement tainted animals and darkspawn. Granted, I have no idea what that would look like, but that's what is so exciting about it... maybe more demons and spirits and possessions, but designed differently? I feel like there could be a lot of possibilities there.

I'd rather they stuck to making people absolute bastards.  After all, the most powerful class of demon isn't based on how much power it is, rather, it's its nature that makes it the most powerful and dangerous--because it is most like mortals.

Imagine if the Free Marches had so many Arl Howe's and Lord Vaughnn's...

Very true. That would also call for a lot more decision making... as I recall, almost all battles with other people were precipitated by dialogue.
