just be careful, Alpha Protocol got terrible reviews already before release despite being a decent RPG, as far I heard some companies paid reviewers to throw dirt at itGames4ever wrote...
Also depends on the reviews, if they are bad then I rather come on here and laugh of all the complains there will be :-)
Didn't buy Alpha Protocol because of the poor graphics :-)

It will all depend on the reliable reveiws and how much of original DA:O was gutted.
ME2 was Biowares one get out of jail free card and they played it. Now they get analyzed and questioned like everyone else.
As pointed out, Games cost alot and not all of us have a weekly allowance to spend on game, we have bills, morgages, payments to make.
Maybe OP not old enough to understand this yet but in time and experience you stop paying for the hype and start paying for the product.
Bioware got by on reputation alone for years and they delivered but ME2 marked a new era and change in direction and for the real first time they used misdirection and in some cases flat out lies to get their sales.
I imagine probably half the original customer base will now question and possibly not buy, depending on feedback because of the errors made by Bioware in opening statements.
So I cant answer yes or no to OP, time will tell which way I go. Im hoping I will buy it and have a fun game but its nowhere close to a for sure thing.

Because its BIOWARE, when have they ever let you down!
The first and second time RTO was supposed to be released.
The time RTO was released, but screwed up my game by relocking all the specializations.
The day they announced Awakening had a redesigned companion conversation system.
The day they announced DA2 would have a VO for the main character.
So no, I might not buy it anyway. I'm still waiting for information that entices me to do so.

Sonic Chronicles
When discussing Bioware's track record, we pretend Sonic doesn't exist
Well that's not fair, that like pretending the Virtual Boy doesn't exist.

but we'll see I guess. The fact they changed the dialogue system is a real turn off

Must say, that after I did play Uncharted 2 I lose interest fairly quickly in games if the graphics is poor.

I will not buy this game, renting it is iffy

I suppose, well, we can just turn a blind eye instead, I'm sure Nintendo would considering how the Virtual Boy has fared compared to the Wii.

The information that was recently released on DA2 sort of killed my interest in DA2. So far it just does not interest me enough to fork over any more dough.
In the mean time I plan to buy and play Guild Wars 2 while waiting for DA2 to hit the bargain bin.

You're right. I will probably buy DA2 eventually. However after my ordeals with Awakening...I can definitely say I won't be pre-ordering it or even buying it full priced.

Will pre-order collectors edition too, hopefully with another cloth map.
It's got nothing to do with gameplay / graphics now, its purely story driven.
I HATE not seeing the conclusion of a story. Like when they put a TV series on, and axe it after one season without ever concluding the arch. Or when you buy a PC game that doesn't finish the story, but they never release a sequel. When I do, I'm so going to be a ghost with unfinished businesses in the form of piles of computer games that never got a sequel.

Well Nintendo actually chose to bury the Virtual Boy, can't really say what happened to the people who worked on it. But it looks like with the N3DS, those guys might be given a second chance.

And the only reason I myself did not like Awakening was because it was too expensive for too little content.

I think considering the current 3D craze, the N3DS should do quite a bit better than Virtual Boy
Wonder what the chances are of a 3D sequel to Sonic Chronicles
