I'm definitely curious of this topic, because in the last could of games. We've seen either some really bad ones like ME 2 mining games or we have seen. Some really good ones like the hacking. I don't remember any real mini-games in DA:O. Well there were a few puzzles. Just they were a liitle more complicated than I'm used to which is good. I spent hours in the library trying to figure out the portal one in the mages tower. What kind of mini-games do you guys think bioware would or might put in DA 2? This would also be something you guys might like to see added quickly.
I for one am a chess nut. It would be interesting to see if bioware put a small chess game into DA2 or even a game like GO or even a DA version of checkers.

Types of mini-games include for example.

Space invaders. Board games. puzzle period. All of it.

A bit confused, do you mean board games, or the puzzle type that you need to do, to move along the story?

All of it. Just give them some ideas. I really want a good mini game to play and maybe make some gold off of. I don't mind getting loot all the time and selling it, but its always nice to play mini games in video games to make a little extra cash or to win some fun items. Thought I wonder if mini-games are one of bioware'Posted Images weakness?

The bar games in WItcher were great, and fit into the game pretty seamlessly. I wouldn't mind something like it in DA2. I don't have anything specific for ya, anything fun rather than tedious(planet scanning) works for me.

I wouldn't mind a card game of some sort, pazaak was a fun diversion. Just no arcade-style mini-games please, or at least make them skippable like in JE.

I would prefer if lockpicking became a minigame instead of a mechanical expertise/cunning check. I'm thinking of lockpicking from Fallout 3, though not the exact same system - and some slightly more complex.

Investing more points into it makes it more successful and easier to use.

Mini-games I think is where Bioware is lacking,  it has been said before on different forums in the past, but the same exact mini-game was used in KOTOR and Mass Effect.  As for what table top games could be used in DA2 the only thing that comes to mind that fits in the historical time frame would be Chinese checkers.  As both the Chantry and chinese checkers have a star configuration, just a different amount of rays.

That is actually what I was thinking myself. I'm glad someone else notice this. It would be fun to play a game of Chinese checks with the NPC and if you win you could unlock a special armor or weapon or something. I think maybe have a mini game that is FUN! To help unlock certain rune making skills for your swords. Say we can fold lyurim ourself. Posted Image

I would like the minigames to be optional, like a card game that you can play in inns and not an annoying game that you would have to do everytime you need to pick a lock. If it's an easy game like in ME2 it's just time consuming and if it's hard it's plain annoying to struggle with a minigame everytime you're trying to open a chest.

Actually I think it would be a good idea to make a small mini-game for breaking locks with warriors. This would make it better. Now with a rogue it just opens up and if your a mage. They could just make spells.

Although it's not really a mini-game, Bioware should have some readable books, like in Oblivion.
Oh, and they should have another gambling game, like Pa-zaak or Quazar in their other games. But no lockpicking mini-games please. Speaking of that, Bioware should let us be able to break open doors and chests.

Yes, definitely! Did anyone ever read "Biography of Queen Barenziah" and " The real Queen Barenziah" in Oblivion. Nearly made me cry... Best short stories Ever!

The best mini-game is the one you don't have to play.

I think you could tie a mini-game into an Oghren cameo...You could call it nug-humper.

There would be drinking, oiling up, and lots and lots of beastiality.
