Does allowing the Dark Ritual mean *anyone* can kill the Archdemon?

I remember our thinking at the time was that the Archdemon's essence had to enter a Grey Warden first-- and that the Dark Ritual would effectively "pull" the essence from the Grey Warden into the child. It didn't seem like it was important enough to explain (certainly even if that wasn't the case the player is probably the only person with the personal power to kill the Archdemon as it is), and Morrigan has a lot of explaining to cover.

Seeing as it was never mentioned, however, you can opt for whichever explanation you prefer.

Ha, that's kind of close to what I envision for my fic in progress....PC facing the archdemon alone in the Fade (which is why most Wardens die, suiciding against it) and Morrigan comes with the child to save the day...

This makes me unreasonably happy.  :D

Thanks for the clarification, David. :wizard:

I'm not sure which explanation I prefer... I'm swinging towards it still requiring a Grey Warden, though, if only because I simply like the idea of the Archdemon's soul passing through them.

Besides, my Warden can still be under the impression that he's made it possible for anyone to deal the deathblow, even if it isn't true... thus allowing him to have undertaken it for selfless reasons.
