I mainly play Open Palm. I played Closed Fist a couple of times and no game has ever made feel as dirty or ruthless as Jade Empire has when playing that path. I am a living force of nature who destroys all in my path...including my friends.

I prefer the more fuzzy moments and the connection we can have with the party as an Open Palm Spirit Monk. A skilled man (Monk Zheng) who seems most like Master Li in the beginning before the big reveal near the end.

CF is not implemented well at all. Being a thug/****/psychopath ≠ follower of the CF philosophy
Renegade Sheppard does it better most of the time.

 I agree with Sarethus, Qvaestor, and naledgeborn.  The Closed Fist philosophy  could have been implemented much better than it was, but it was still fun to play as a character who is constantly misunderstood.  Self reliance and self actualization should not be 'evil' options.  To quote Han in Enter the Dragon:

"It is difficult to associate these horrors with the proud civilizations that created them: Sparta, Rome, The Knights of Europe, the Samurai... They worshipped strength, because it is strength that makes all other values possible.  Nothing survives without it.  Who knows what delicate wonders have died out of the world, for want of the strength to survive."

It was interesting to play Closed Fist, but I prefer Open Palm.
