I feel sorry for Bioware

Please just wait until you actually have some info about DA2 before being down on it. I'll offer an example, it's like saying a movie is terrible from looking at 2 pictures from the storyboard and reading the blurb for it in the newspaper.

my guess is that they revealed main differences from DA:O (wheel, hawke, VO) so core-fans (casual gamers dont care) will rage and curse and after some time, we will all accept the game as it is. It would be much more dramatical for sales if we have found out a week before release. Its smart move.
THIS
by the time the general public gets a good look at the game the whiners will have quieted down and stopped trying to run bioware for themselves.

You do realize that the reason most people are complaining is because Bioware is making decisions that upset the community right?

People are hating on this game because they are disapointed, this isnt the DA2 they expected or was hoping for.In my eyes alot of people would of been happy playing as the warden with a different location some new companion and old ones. For me, I was hoping for some kind of ending on the god child thing before I put my warden to rest. It seems I will not get that in DA2.

Lol, this is the kind of jumping to conclusions thats causing so many headaches.
How do you not know we'll see an ending to the god child thing? How do you even know what we'll see? Theres so little info...
And we knew we prob weren't gonna see the Warden return... we know that way back when DA:O was released. The devs told us not to expect a countinuing main character like in ME.

Upsets part of the community. Not everyone is upset by it. Not even most people. Just a vocal minority. The only reason I even found out people were being babies about this is because I like forums and checked on these ones after the post highlighting the get to know Hawke section of GI. Most people don't post on these forums. Most people who post on these forums will not post if they're content with what's being done.
You can't please everyone. That's a hazard of being a gaming company. I'd be much more displeased with BioWare if they went with the whims of every single whining forumite than if they made a decision that changes a part of the games they make.

Baldur's Gate II: There's less exploration than in BG1. I like being lost in the wilderness! And you start at a high level; I hate high level gameplay! Your character's too powerful! Bioware is betraying the spirit of D&D with this godchild!
Dragon Age: Fewer spells than BGII, easier gameplay, fewer party members and a less interesting villain than BGII. Some spiritual successor!
Look on the bright side for Bioware, when DAO came out it was some concession to MMO gameplay that betrayed all that was pure and sweet about "real" RPG's. Now that DA2 has been announced, Dragon Age: Origins is officially the greatest game of all time. So at least Bioware can take comfort in that, eh?
All Bioware needs to do to get everyone to love DA2 is to let some time pass and announce DA3.

Sure. Okay.
No but at least wait until you've read a preview of the game. At this point you have next to no idea what the game is going to be like. It could be rubbish, it could be just as good as Origins or it could be even better. No one outside of Bioware has enough information to judge.

The people that aren't upset by it just didn't have as much invested in the game. (atleast the majority, I'm sure theres a few people just more patient than I to hear what Bio has planned)

STOP BEING SO HARSH!!! DA2 was announces less than a week ago and so far all that has been released is half an A4 page of text and 2 screenshots from an alpha build. From this the community seems to have decided the game is going to be terrible! It seems these days that Bioware can't do anything right (in the communities eyes at least) and it's going to reach the point where they're going to ditch there community first approach because it just isn't worth it.

I'm a little disappointed that the games won't be fundamentally the same anymore between the PC and consoles, mostly because my origins as a Gamer are Pen and Paper and PC gaming, but no longer can I afford a good PC (growing up sucks) and there just aren't many people who want to pen and paper game in my area. DA:O was good because the combat was just as strategical as the PC (minus a few small differences) but with DA2 it sounds as if the differences will be much larger. I think that's the only aspect of the sequel that bothers me much, the VO could be good, and the dialog wheel similarly could be good, sure it's different then DA:O but that doesn't mean it will be bad, and I'm actually glad we aren't playing our Warden anymore. He/She already saved the world.

Where did you hear that the two systems will be largely different? I'm not saying they won't be, but I haven't heard that yet and am curious of your source.

Second day, they beat us and eat some for meat.
Third day, the men are all gnawed on again.
Fourth day, we wait and fear for our fate.
Fifth day, they return and it's another girl's turn.
Sixth day, her screams we hear in our dreams.
Seventh day, she grew as in her mouth they spew.
Eighth day, we hated as she is violated.
Ninth day, she grins and devours her kin.
Now she does feast, as she's become the beast.

i agree with you man. We dont have S*** in terms of intel on the game, so jumpin to conclusions is a little dumb tbh. Who knows? this may just be a overall plot twist, perhaps introducing a new character to aid our wardens in a later DA title? or maybe BW just wants to show a different side of the DA universe? we dont know and the fact is that we dont have the info right now to even begin to fathom what the devs are thinking so lets not go jumping to conclusions and bash a game that for all we know could become one of the best RPGs BW has ever made.
PS: im NOT saying to stop voicing your concerns, but at least do so without insulting bioware, because if it werent for them then DA wouldnt exist.
