Hi, DA2 will be completely terrific in case it is possible to import character from DAO, will this be possible?

After playing MONTHS with the same character in DAO, the other quests, Awakening etc... it would be a pity to see him/ her simply let die...

It's a hard life eh? But seriously there is no reason for anyone to spend their hard-earned on a game that doesn't meet up to their expectations, because research is the key in this day and age of internet, magazine previews/reviews, radio reviews, word of mouth etc.

Well, if you give up so easily, then your idea will never gain understanding and recognition. Or are you too good to exert your efforts on us us "unenlightened"?

Honestly, they can take it. I feel sorrier for the people who believe that everything is ruined forever because the character is voiced or because the new style ogres don't look the same as the old ones. I do think they could do to learn about the joys of constructive criticism though, that way they might actually get their point across and get an adjustment made.

Ha. I don't feel remotely sorry for BioWare. They're BIOWARE, one of the most successful RPG developers ever. We're forum rats. I feel sorrier for us. :P

I don't feel sorry for them at all. It's ME2 all over again. They are going to take an awesome game and original IP and totally nerf it with a sequel that panders to the COD, Gears of War, God of War? Twitch gamers and totally alienate their traditional RPG fan base. Don't feel sorry for them... They do it to themselves that's why it really hurts.

I don't feel sorry for them at all. I am an idiot.  I will now proceed to ****** and moan on a point that has been made a thousand times, and each time was not only untrue, but was also ridiculous.  I don't like Mass Effect because it had guns and I am bad at guns.  I like Dragon Age.  Since something happened that I don't understand I'm going to compare it to Mass Effect because I am mentally incompetent.

People just fear change and automatically assume (without having any further information on the game) that it'll be bad. This has happened before, my guess that 99% of the DA fans will still enjoy it immensely, myself included.

I'm pretty sure the "backlash" isn't anything new to BioWare. If I'm not mistaken, didn't ME2 have significant complaints when it was announced?

Yeah but... those 99% aren't TRUE fans. If they were TRUE fans they would be totally inflexible and resistant to any kind of change, no matter how it may ultimately effect the gameplay experience! Don't you see? Only by stagnation will we achieve glory!!!

So you already payed for DA2? Because if you're referring to the money invested in DA:O, that's a done deal. If you liked it and have no regrets over spending money on it, then there's no reason why you should bring money as an issue.

If you end up buying DA2 and hate it, then you may complain about paying for something you didn't like. Otherwise, don't bring up that argument.

at first i was sorry. then i realized that this just shows how much we care about them and their games and they are doing really well and have a lot of fans anyways (me included).

i just wish those people who call us whiners understood that people have different tastes. For some the announced things actually DO ruin the game for them. For others (me) it's a disappointment but it will still be a great game i will enjoy. For even others things so far don't make it worse or even make it better. And this last group people are included who are so fanatical tat they'll complain about "whiners" without trying to understand that the complaints might even be valid (and the released details be of a major significance to some people) even though they don't feel the same way.

They do it to themselves that's why it really hurts.

I don't pity BioWare, but I do pity people who say things like "they do it to themselves that's why it really hurts" as if BioWare were a family member suffering from drug addiction.

The link to the "DA2 Internet Reaction" article that David Gaider posted was spot-on.

STOP BEING SO HARSH!!! DA2 was announces less than a week ago and so far all that has been released is half an A4 page of text and 2 screenshots from an alpha build. From this the community seems to have decided the game is going to be terrible! It seems these days that Bioware can't do anything right (in the communities eyes at least) and it's going to reach the point where they're going to ditch there community first approach because it just isn't worth it.

Please just wait until you actually have some info about DA2 before being down on it. I'll offer an example, it's like saying a movie is terrible from looking at 2 pictures from the storyboard and reading the blurb for it in the newspaper.

This arguement again.

What do you call what we've already been given?  A pack of lies?  An April fools trick?  Bioware pointing and laughing at us?

We HAVE information.  And I for one am very displeased with what I see.

People have different tastes in games, but to act as if there's only one single true "taste" and that everyone else is just sheep isn't very understanding at all.

One single glance at a product and you're already implying that the game is ruined. Why should BioWare cater to these types of "fans" when they're never going to be satisfied anyway?

That still doesn't matter. You can register PS3 and 360 copies of the game on this site as well.
