Yeah, i've exaggerated a bit, more annoying was the fact that the radius was within the walls. But do not misunderstand: i'm sure that your idea will work perfectly. I only would like to be more skilled with scripting, 3d modeling/retexturing exc.. for help you guys with your work.

I doubt it, it s going to be a bettle i fear. For custom content we are hightly dependent on the communauty and their efforts. And we take from the vault what we can use. We aren't custom model and creature maker. We are only using what's availlable and putting it together for making the mod.

the only custom content from us are custom texture texture that Drew made. Shop sign from the original game, and wall texture for BCK.  All the other custom content we use is on  the vault. I doubt we ll be able to make a full list of what and wich content we used. We really used to much to track it all. i think we used almost everything from the "major" custom content maker like RWS, the team who made Misery stone and others.

And we used several other, custom content that were found in tiny little thing, or from poeple that did only one thing like that awesome draw bridge... I know that I used custom content for Ulgoth bearb where I couldn't track at all it's original maker.

At the begining we wanted to restrain ourself with custom content to have "small hack", but in the end we went completly wild... So many great CC that screamed to be used, we couldn't resist their call, and the master hack for placeable and model went over 1.2 GO.

If one day the ankheg is finished we'll update BGR with it.

You can get alignement shift toward good just like in the original game, some quests can give an alignement shift, and golds donation to temples also produce an alignement shift toward good.

Are you referring to alignment shift as in the Good/Evil Law/Chaos axis or the 1-20 reputation scale from Baldur's Gate?

Really excited about this mod.

There's a bunch of other custom content that we've made for the mod too (mostly re-skins of heads, clothing, placeables, etc. and custom load screens, etc.), though we are leveraging a lot of the amazing community created content that already exists on the Vault.

We've been waiting several years for the ankheg model to be animated. I'm guessing it will never happen. I've had to resort to using a narrowed umberhulk for ankhegs in my upcoming module.

At least the custom AI will make them behave like an ankheg. They start below ground, then pop up when they beat a party member's move silently skill (appearing behind them). As they lose hit points, the chance of them burrowing back below ground increases. Once their HPs drop below 50%, they spit acid the next time they pop up again.

Not a bad idea, using resized umberhulks.

Today i scripted the last area of the game.

So now every single area of the game exist and is scripted.

Polish and full scale testing while rampaging accross all the modules of the campaign still need to be done.
But it's still a giant step toward complexion of this work.

Imbrhilk - the Imaskari word for "ankheg," I believe.

I'm almost done polishing the Prologue; I'm really pleased with how it's looking. Perhaps I'll upload a video or maybe even an updated demo at some point so people know what to expect from the full game :)

Looks like the finishing line is in reach! That's great! Can't wait to finally play your mod. I'm sure it will be awesome and one of the greatest gifts to role playing gamers there can be.

Just in case there are people who follow this and are unaware, the game developers of Obsidian Entertainment, the people behind games like Fallout, Arcanum, Temple of Elemental Evil, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and more, are creating a new isometric Baldur's Gate style RPG they're calling Project Eternity. They're getting their funding from kickstarter.com, which means that it's being funded by the gamers. That means no suits making decisions. The game that is being made is the game that the developers want to make and the gamers are asking, and paying for. So far, there are almost 55,000 backers who have pledged a total of almost 2.5 million dollars. The game's launch is slated for 2014. There are 8 days left to help support this project and a $25 pledge will get you a digital copy of the game when it is released, which is probably half of what it will cost to buy it at that time. Here's a link to the project page:

http://www.kickstart...roject-eternity

I'm extremely excited about Project Eternity and I have a feeling that a lot of you guys will be as well. In the meantime, I'll be happily sating myself with BGT and soon, Baldur's Gate Reloaded.

Happy leveling!

Also! If Obsidian gets over 20.000 likes on facebook they will add another level to the Mega Dungeon. So go in there and like them! And spread the word!

Yep, I already contributed and have been watching the developments with interest. I also put in a contribution for the Wasteland 2 project, due out in 2013. It should be a lot of fun!

Here's a nice CRPG news source that has been covering both of the above (and others):

Excuse my ignorance but what's an isometric game is it flat with a background like Monkey Island or Donkey Kong ?

Back on topic keep up the good work Baldur's Gate people I've never played it and am looking forward to discovering what all the fuss was about.
