Anyway, will you include multisummoning and random HP at level up like in BG or am I nitpicking here? :P

Multisummoning is cool (though it was a bit exploitative in BG). But I hate having to reroll my levelups till I get the max hp ;P (which I always did in every DnD based computer game I played). So glad I finally don't have to in NWN2.

Speaking of game exploits and issues I still have a saved game in which I was in a tower (there were thieves or something at the top) and the game went berserk. There are cows everywhere and killing a cow yields 65,536 exp. Also rabid chickens were summoned and Gorion constantly appears and he is totally ticked off and wipes me. Apparently I was connected to a friends machine and his system went haywire. I do so miss BG I. There was nothing like killing Drizzt by summoning Rabid Chickens.

Waiting Bereghost and the bandit camp to be ready to be scripted.

When it will be done we"ll have everything functionnal aside from gullykin before the player can enter Baldur's gate.

(shop, rest system, quest dialog, sound , fight encounter, plot item and special item, player special hability, book that increase stats, world map system) What's missing are regular loot in chest, and a final "texture and lighning pass" on the area.

The game is made for characters that start at 0 XP. Bringing a lvl 20 or 30 or even 10 can only ruin your fun and make all the fighting part of the game boring.

I'm curious to know whether you had to modify the XP Scale for the campaign? I seem to recall that levelling up in BG was a lot tougher than in NWN2.

We aren't there yet, but in the campaign setting you can alter the XP scale, and by default it's a slow one.

Incidentally (sorry if I already asked this, I can't remember), are you doing anything with Charm/Dominate effects, because one of the big things for me in BG was having my team start fighting each other. If not (it would be a lot of work to try and make that work in NWN2, I think - and I did experiment with this quite a bit back in NWN1), are you going to re-balance creatures like Sirines, who mostly relied on Dire Charm? Just curious.

I created some spell so party can fight together like the berserk spell.

I haven't changed the current existing spell, but I made some test, and the real spell are really ike in PnP. Many of them got limited for the OC beceause of some party flag and not able to attack neutral. But SOZ and MOTB brought back all of those nasty spell to full scale. I think those spell al ready work as they should or almost, it's just tuning.

I changed the petrification one so it would work just like on the original game. Petrified party member are removed from the party and permanently petrified until you use a stone to flesh spell/schroll on them, if it's the main char it's game over with the death hand.

Many of the spell got back to what they really should be in NWN2. It's just that some of them got limited for the OC. Or it's Kaedrin and the other guy work (Raeron or something like that) They did an awesome work fixing many spell.

The spell aren't hard coded, they are scripted. You can do whatever you want with the effect. It's just that you need the party able to fight each other for those condition, and in the OC they can't (campaign setting).

But just by using different campaign setting, you can be almost like in BG or IWD ruleset with all those rules enable, beceause most spells are scripted by default  with full power if I remember correctly.

There are flags, that if you are bellow hard core setting, those control spell don't have all their power for some of them.

I appreciate that the spells are all scripted, but the Dominate effect itself is hardcoded (afaik you can change its behaviour for NPCs, but not for PCs, unlike Charm and other effects), so Dominate Person etc won't work. Since BG's Charm Person, Dire Charm etc used an effect more like Dominate than NWN's Charm, I wondered if you were going to do anything with the charm/dominate spells rather than leave them as Daze effects.

I like this module. Played BG1, BG2, IWD1, IWD2, and Torment, as well as every expansion and plenty of mods and modules (like BGTuTu).

I won't ask when its being released, but I'll surely be playing it when it hits.

Is there any website we can directly follow updates and notices on (even a twitter account)? If not, I'll check this forum regularly.

a private site that only host the files and the work y and some "paper work" of what was done and what remain. No blog, no screenshoot, no fancy things... It's just a teamwork over the internet with a FTP server.

I recall that when a party member is subject to Dire Charm, they effectively become hostile NPCs for a period of time and can't be controlled. It should be possible to make a simulacrum of a character, hide the current character for a time, then replace him/her for the duration of the spell. When the spell is over, the results upon the simulacrum would need to be transferred back to the party member. Seems like it should be do-able, at least conceptually. Has anybody scripted that? Likewise just curious. Thanks.

For the size there is around 1 gig for hak.

Module are numerous but their size is reasonable. biggest one should be around 400 MO mainly beceause there is only exterior area in some of them.

The biggest modules in size will probably be the modules with the less gametime.

Each town is a mod on their own, each logical plot as well.

but all of this is shrinked whith 7zip.

I'd say the donwload will be beetween 2 gig and 2.5 gig. And there is still a lot of work left to do. We are closing to have everything ok before you enter BG city, but inside BG there is a lot of thing to script and do.

What about multilanguage versions? I mean, many times the multilanguage is just a sort of "patch": you have the same game but a file (with everything that is written in the entire game) is added.

Could it be possible to obtain something like this? I have the Italian version of BG, can I extract a "language file" and add it to your BG in 3D to read the game in my language?

Thank you

By the way do you see the work of Baldurs Gate Redux (BGR)? They're remaking BG2 in the DA engine. visit http://www.gamersnexus.net/bgr-home/
