- Conversation skills are useless.
- Healing kits are extremely rare, likely a random drop, and not for sale in shops as far as I can tell. Unless I'm mistaken, this makes the Heal skill mostly useless, yes (except for unlocking certain feats, etc.).
- Spot and Listen have no use in my experience, like in most other modules.
I might be forgetting something, but the rest of the skills should work normally. To answer your question about Appraise, it gives better prices as usual (noticeable in the long run or not, I can't say). No need to take it with the main character, though, as you can switch controls to the best appraiser in your party when shopping.

So a smooth-talking character would just need charisma or what?Shallina wrote...
Conversation skills aren't useless, there are some convo with skill check. But it's not all over the place, and it's not explicited when convo skill are used.

I thought they are automatically used to discover hidden NPCs? Or is hiding not part of the AI of some creatures so there won't be any enemy lurking in the shadows? An overview of dead-end-levelling-decisions would be nice though! I assume heading toward some prestige classes or weapon feats would also be of little use. Other than the exotic weapons-feat whith all those enchanted bastard swords in the game, if I remember right.
Btw: Where can bugs be reported? I found a literal one: an odd bandit in the Fishing Village, called "Ankeg". He could only be hurt be hitting an Ankeg nearby.
And since I did not mention it before: GREAT WORK AND THANKS FOR THE RELEASE!

I had wondered if convo skills would work as Shallina described, but I supposed they wouldn't, in order to keep things like in the original. I don't really like not knowing how useful they are or when they come into play, but I guess it'll have to do.

Good that you said "almost", but I think you're going to get some people ambushed by sneak attacks if they play my module! And they won't find some of my hidden items.Arkalezth wrote...
Spot and Listen are used to detect sneakers, but sneakers are almost inexistant in single player modules.
Edit: Never mind the hidden items. Was thinking of "search".

Question, is it possible to remove NPC from party as in the good ol' days? (I do want Montaron in party, but not Xzar). I cannot seem to do it in game.
No, though you can get them petrified...

The original game was difficult but this one is insane. I can't enter in any fight without get close to die, missile weapons are almost useless and it's impossible to fix an strategy with NWN2's AI.
Is anybody else suffering the same as me or I'm really noobing? I'm a level 1 Human Fighter, it is almost impossible to screw a so simple build.
And Imoen: sneak attack m*therf*ck*r, ever heard of it?!
I'm almost going solo with a Bard, the NPCs are just draining rivers of XP and solding the battles.

Pick your fights; if you find an enemy too hard, leave it for later and go somewhere else in the meantime. If you're having problems against kobolds and such... well, then I guess you're "really noobing".

Those Gibberlings are troubling me a lot. In BG1 it was easy: you saw, one shoot, they die. Now most of my arrows (those who land a hit) won't damage them.
Back to the chart, I guess.

That said, it's only 2 points, so they should still die easily with any weapon. Ranged combat may not be as OPd as it was in BG, but it's still perfectly viable.

That ogre mage was overpowered in BG if you tried to take him on when you were likely to first encounter him. I think the design decision was putting it there to teach you a lesson that while you can go anywhere, some things are better avoided until later.Raduziel wrote...
So... Lion's Way... an Ogre Mage with a Primastic Spray. Seens a little overpowered, nay?
