"So... for the second one they decide to completely change it? Was ME 2 so successful that changing the second Dragon Age from an apparently incredibly successful formula to Mass Effect with Swords seems worth it?"_Marik333
Also why the dramatic change in Mass Effect. I personally loved the first one and played 7playthroughs, the second one however i can't even finish my 3rd playthrough. What happened to the RPG element of the RPG game. what happened to all of my customization, i can't add upgrades to my armor, i can't add upgrades to my weapons, and my power ups suck. this game is just gears of war in space.
Ever since EA merged with Bioware, the games have been going down hill, and all anyone is doing is saying "Bioware Sucks" when i'm fairly certain it's not even Bioware's fault. EA is ruining this once great company.

And under EA we have DA:O and ME 2, clearly horrible games.

Can a publisher have some effect? Probably yes. I imagine (see my choice of word) that they control some of the content, production time-frame, and other things but anything beyond that is anyone's guess. I prefer to put the blame directly on the creator of the product if I have a problem with it.

How about putting some actual thought into your arguments, or possibly have them relate to the thread title in some way?
Are kangaroos ruining Australia? I was in Aus a while back and I didn't like the way the water flushed in the toilets.

Toilets don't actually flush in different directions depending on hemisphere, it's a myth and I blame The Simpsons for spreading it.

Maybe we should replace ruining with running EA
He is the senior vice president of EA and not the
only one who founded BioWare.

EA have been pretty decent lately, lots of new and decent IP's.
Activision and Ubisoft are far, far worse.
I never thought I see the day where I read this and actually agree, lol.
What is the world coming to.
