I read about a half a week back on this board from one of the fellows to subscribes to gameinformer that the game would have the ability to save across multiple platforms or something along those lines. Is this true? Will it be optional? Will we be forced to save online like Ubisoft games?

Forced to save online would be bad.
Able to save online for cross-platform would be awesome. There's no reason that wouldn't be possible.

If it's optional to save online it would be great considering games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect span across multiple games .If it it forced, all hell will break loose.

I'd like for DLC to be shared across platforms. Some of the unlockables in ME2 are (for example, I have all the collectors edition stuff for the 360 because I have the PC collectors edition)... but the main DLC isn't. Boo!

Gamespot is bringing a king af answer to this question. At least, it is confirmed that we can use saved games even if we change the platform to play DA2:
"Q: Will my progress in Dragon Age origins carry over into DA2?
A: You
may be controlling a differetn character in dragon age 2, but the
chices your grey warden made in origns are still imported from your save
and reflected in the world. Who is leading ferelden? Who defeated the
Archdemon? These questions are vital in determining the current state of
the dragon age universe, and the team at BioWare want to make sure your
decistions carry over- even if you want to play Dragon Age 2 on a
different platform."
How will they do?
Will they use our on line profil to make possible a consideration of our choices in DA:0 even if we change th platform in DA2?
Will they use a kind of quiestonnary when we will begin DA2?
And for those who didn't play DA:O?It seems DA2 can't be neutral regarding the most important events in DA:O.So choices have to be make.
So probably a kind of questionnary. It seems to be the easier way to do so.
