Traveling with: Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo, Misty, Aerie
So the party hears of a strange problem with the local circus...mainly people gone missing and guards sent to investigate did not return. The party enters and meets a genie who asks a complicated algebra question, Forrest figured it out though. Inside we found an ogre with a female voice (thought the ogre itself definitely looked male). It said it needed a sword to remove its illusion. We got it for the ogre, after all if it was lying, it would not have lasted long. As it turns out, it was a female avariel (winged elf, though she didn't have her wings). She was a cleric/mage so Forrest accepted her help.
Next group of enemies were shadows, which required magic weapons and ammo to hit and werewolves. Forrest knew the werewolves were illusions, however the party had no way to dispel it yet (divine casters aren't level 5 yet so no true seeing) so ended up fighting them. Yoshimo got pinned and killed. The rest of the shadows and werewolves in that room were cleared out without further difficulty.
Time to deal with the master mind of this circus problem, some gnome named Kalah. Aerie did magic missiles then acid arrow spells, Forrest used his sling and everyone else used their melee weapons on Kalah - he died fast and when he did, the illusions were all dispelled and the circus was back to normal. We got a ring which put someone's charisma to 18 (went to Jaheira) and also a belt of piercing. Forrest took that, as it might help him survive backstabbing thieves, if it comes to that.
The party then went to the slums and talked to Gaelan Bayle. Gaelan said he knew where Imoen and Irenicus went, but it will cost 20,000 gold for his help. The party will have to do some mercenary work it seems to get enough gold to do that.
Forrest rested, and went to Gaelan's house again - reason? To cast some long term spells such as armor, stone skin and resist fear. We can't afford a magic license yet, so this little trick gets around that, as they usually only catch you if you cast mage spells outside. Then finally invisibility 10'. The party went to the gate and got the Sune Suna ambush (about 6 slavers, including a mage, cleric, and some backstabbing thieves). This went MUCH smoother than the last run we got ambushed! The party mages moved away for safety, Yoshimo, Misty, and Minsc moved toward the mage and Jaheira summoned a nymph. This got corey_russell a much better position than the last time he had to face this ambush...

The mage was killed quickly. Next round Jaheira did call lightning, Forrest did Emotion spell, and Aerie did sanctuary as a slaver attacked her in melee. Minsc moved to defend his witch (Aerie), Misty used her fists on some theives, and Yoshimo backstabbed a slaver. The results were wildly successful, with the entire slavers all failing their save vs the emtion!

We did do other spells like slow and holy smite, but it didn't matter, the slavers were finished. We also got some much needed potions from this ambush, though we certainly need more. No deaths, and actually very little damage taken, Misty took a few backstabs but she weathered them well.
Party returned to the Copper Coronet and sold their junk, rested and considered their next move. So yes, traveling invisible seems the way to go, if possible.
