Had to start again with Dragonslayer due to probs in the installation.

Fighter/Cleric Chaotic Good Half-Elf
In BG1 maximised all stats except Cha(Which was minimised) at the start (Used the Frabjous re-roller).
Details on BG1 site. The mods I installed gave some extra tomes. (Greyclan episode,  Drizzt Saga and Dark Horizons)

Diary of Dragonslayer
I accepted any help offered in the dungeon and escaped unharmed along with Jahiera, Minsc, Branwen and Yoshimo.
I said goodbye to Branwen and with the others ended up in the docks. Helped Yoshimo win favour at the thieves' guild. Turned down the stronghold. Could not morally justify acceptance.
Jahiera was cursed by Ployer, but we managed to reverse the spell.
Boo was kidnapped and rescued. We then dropped Minsc off at the Copper Coronet.
Edwin and Korgan joined us and we went to the graveyard to ket the book of Kazza for Korgan. Ended up with the scroll of the Netherill as well.
Tried to help Xzar, but ended up causing his death. Image IPB

Forlorn's progress
I've been away for a few days in the real world and hadn't posted up to date prior to my departure.  I think the following shows all the quests completed, though not necessarily in the right order:
- completed the quest for Xzar and then had an argument with the harpers who duped Jaheira into summoning me for punishment.
- cleared the graveyard of inhabitants (apart from the vampire compound I can't get into yet and Southern tombs).  The stone found in the spider lair means all party members are safe from critical hits at last.
- gave a child a teddy bear to let him sleep softly, found a guardian for an orphan and saved a mourner from his avenging undead uncle.
- in between other activities eventually persuaded the pesky magicians to leave me alone (Yoshimo doing most of the work here).
- obtained an art work for one temple and retrieved a ring for another.
- exposed Mae-Var's treachery and punished him for it.
- attacked the party in the bridge district in an attempt to get a boomerang dagger (thanks to Shadow-Leech for the reminder).  Unfortunately when I drew them outside, at least 2 of them jumped onto a nearby balcony and then disappeared.  Having rested and checked possible locations I fear they must have gone into the rogue stone door.  As I've only gone through there twice and been killed both times I could really do without making that any more difficult + I've still not got my daggerImage IPB.
- solved the skinner murders.
- helped Jan restore the health of a loved one and while in the sewers recovered a talkative sword and cleared the slavers from the slums.
Somewhere near the start of that lot Forlorn reached L12 as a kensai and took up a new career as a druid.  Rather disappointingly I've found she is unable to put more than one star into two-weapon fighting - an unintended consequence of a mod.  I've never run a character fighting with 2 weapons and was intending to do this now, but perhaps keeping her out of the way would be more sensible anyway.  
She has just reached L9 and is starting to wonder whether Jaheira's services should be dispensed with while considering where to go next.

Quick Note on Alastria's Game:

Alastria is cruising through the Underdark right now. She's at Level 21 and outrageously overpowered for this stage of the game. She's basically fighting the same way she did at lower levels except now she's using Wolfwere, Mind Flayer, and Iron Golem instead of Spider, Flind and Jelly. Casters face an Iron Golem, everyone else gets a Mindflayer. And if she runs into enemies immune to +2 weapons, they get Imprisonment. Barring a major misstep on my part, she should be fine untill Irenicus in Hell.

I just want to note if you did not know already, that the Earth Elemental form should hit enemies immune to +2 weapons if it's the same as the druid HLA(I was able to hit Kangaxx the demi-lich with my kensai druid), though I will have to test this myself obviously. I'm not sure if this information is useful as the Earth Elemental form, while somewhat impressive does have any form of resistances only increased APR. I had hoped the iron golem form hit with a higher + weapon.

It does: the Iron Golem fists are +4. However, I wouldn't want to use Iron Golem against  decent melee fighters since the AC, HP, and APR aren't impressive. True, you can address the AC and HP via Potions, Scrolls, and Triggers, but that gets costly and you're still operating with a low APR. A Priest of Lathander-> Mage may be able to get some mileage out of it, but it would't really work for Alastria. It's basically a casters only form for her.

Of course, her Phantom Baldes are +3 and she can use those in any form.

Here's my progress on Tessa Tanglefield priestess of helm
Tessa Tanglefield Returns

A room with several lights greeted Tessa Tanglefield as she awoke in a tub of water. She gasped for her first breath. "I see you haven't boxed me in Shadow_Leech07," Tessa said.
Tessa found herself in Irenicus' dungeon, she fell out of the jail cell after Imoen liberated her. "This again," she said. Imoen looked at Tessa curiously. Tessa tells Imoen to leave.
Escaping the dungeon required a vast use of bhaalspawn abilities. But Tessa escaped alright. She made use of the cleric spell 'Find traps'. It's always good to know exactly where traps are.

Suna Suni's Attack

With Sanctuary cast whenever Tessa Tanglefield leaves a district, the bandits lead by Suna Suni art thwarted and killed because Tessa now has the ability to set up her skeleton minions.

Tessa has completed the first part of the slaver quest and Trademeet. The Harper quests are finished. She also finished up the Trademeet Crypt quest. During the assault on Windspear Hills, Tessa leveled up to 11, and in the middle of battle after summoning the mighty aerial servant and efreet, she dualed to a mage. This allowed Tessa to get experience as a wizard while the aerial servant and efreet killed the enemies.

Mistakes at Seven Vales

Tessa tried out cone of cold against Mencar's group, this killed the wizard outright but all his stuff(cloak of nondetection) was lost. She luckily saved against Pooky's dire charm, and in turn, dire charmed Pooky, using all the dire charms against Patricia. This made Patricia hostile aftwards. I don't think Tessa is welcome in the Seven Vales anymore. Tarner's group is dismantled.
Tessa paid the cowled wizard's price of 5k gold and she looked at her two scrolls of protection from acid and knew where she was headed next. She finishes Hendak's mission of ridding the Slums of the slaver menace. Tessa has captured and killed Tirdir's tormentors, found an orphan girl a foster dad who was a paladin, essentially the graveyard district quests except the child ghost quest. She still needs one more mage level to bring back her helm levels.
Renayd the fallen paladin

Tessa was sent out to meet this fallen paladin in the Bridge District, however he was slain by smugglers.

The Score with Rayic Gethras

This battle was one of attrition. Tessa used her three rings of air control as well as fire resistance potions, potions of clarity, minor globe of invulnerability, mirror image, stoneskin, and web. Rayic has around three protection from magical weapon spells, and this did not allow Tessa to rain down melf's magic meteors. His immunity to cold did not allow cone of cold to punch through either. Tessa settles with the strategy of jelly form with melf's magic meteors from a scroll. Rayic counters with a sword spider and invisible stalker. Tessa retreats from the building as she does not want to be in the same room from Rayic when she transforms into her regular form as she has ran out of invisibility. Quickly she kills both the stalker and the spider and runs to Mae'var's camp to buy two potions of invisibility. She confronts Rayic once more, this time drinking a potion when Rayic is about to cast a spell on her. The battle is long and Rayic runs around, using up shadow door and pelting Tessa with melf's magic meteors of his own. Eventually Tessa pulls through this battle. She feels she is ready to get back her helm levels.

Reborn Priestess of Helm

Tessa Tanglefield is now able to test her ground against Tanova and her vampire brethren. Regaining her helm levels, she uses shield of harmony, and uses Sanctuary to buff and prepare. She disposes of the vampires with ease. Tanova is her greatest kill.

This is unusual. I've seen him taken heaps of damage without dying and would think he's wearing an item that makes him unkillable at that point. Are you using any mods that modify this encounter?

It's irritable when I encountered it, but not surprising. I've had strange games before. Like the thrall slaves in Planar Prison defeating the Warden, or the pirates and the Githyanki fighting an all out battle when the Githyanki board the ship when you leave the Asylum. I find such surprises actually interesting. Even better in a no reload. It's not a game breaker so I'm not really bothered.

So BlackStrider's journey in SoA begins. He woke up in strange dungeon where wierd-looking mage performed inhuman (or rather unhalf-elven) experiments upon him. *Are he some kind of KKK militant*, I wonder... :blink::? Well, something goes wrong somewhere in his complex and he was forces to switch his attention elsewhere. Imoen, my ever faithful friend, freed me from the cage and together we released Jaheira with Minsc. Joined SWAT escaped from dungeon without issues (mostly using Blindness on mephits and cambion with Minsc poked them with arrows). Right after ecsape Imoen was snatch from me - as it turned out, using magic is forbidden here. *What are you suggest for me? Use my puny sling all over the place??* Well..., we must find a way to extricate this problem. Better sooner then later. 
So, we sold our loot, sent Minsc to reconnoitre local taverns and together with Jaheira decided to relax a little in local circus. As it turned out there are problems there as well. Inside we released Aerie and she joined the crew (I decided to keep her in the team. Never run her all the way to ToB and I need good-aligned cleric - my recent run with CG Gnome Cleric/Illusionist was pure joy and he is by far my #1 favorite char).
Trio solved circus problems and then headed to Seven Vails. On the second floor we met a band of mercenaries led by none other than the infamous Mencar Pebblecrusher. So far so good - we unload all our AoE swarm (Web, Entangle, Slow, Emotion, Greater Malison, Stinking Cloud, CloudKill) and a couple of sling bullets. No one escaped. Mencar was quite sturdy and drank healing potions like crasy. Or they were some kind of dwarven strong stuff possibly.:huh:  Doom+Hold Person and Jaheira got Mencar's Full Plate. Strange but it fits quite perfect - may be it has some elastic parts in it?:blink: Hope its durability doesn't suffer... BlackStrider try on a Cloak of Non-detection and Brennan's Risling Ring of Invisibility is quite handy too.
Now on to the slums - to check out what Minsc has discovered there. And what we see upon arrival - Minsc, stand still in the midst of slavers den and do absolutely nothing. Nothing! *You disappoint me, Minsc...very much disappoint...*. We met Nalia there - a colleague mage with some thief skills we are lacking for. So we are four now, like true musketeers - *One for all and all for one!* And our first goal is to liberate this place. Once and forever! And we did it. *See, Minsc, that is the way you sould have been act! Instead of fixing your eyes on local wenches!*. Hendak, who is now a new owner of Copper Coronet, ask us to help free more slaves, and we readily agree to do so. Right now! Well...O.K., may be after some night rest with a discount Hendak promised us... Rest in downy beds, with fresh sheets and soft pillows. It was so long ago last time we slept in such conditions and we need energy for the task ahead...

Diary of Dragonslayer

On the way to fight the shade lord, fought a lich in the gate district. Found an interesting staff and sword.
Went to fight the Shade Lord and met up with Tyris Flare.
Yoshimo got surrounded by shade wolves and was killed, so we returned to the temple to raise him.
On arrival thought, "You idiot, you can raise dead". Slept and raised him, but left him and Edwina at the Copper Coronet. Met up with Nalia and headed off again to try and help her regain her keep.
Jahiera has become a bit upset by various Image IPBdaliancesImage IPB Image IPB that I have had. At first, I regretted upsetting her, but later realised that it was for the best since I have no feelings of that sort for her. Better for her to discover that now rather than later.

The staff that I found "reduced" my charisma to 25!!! Image IPB

Mae'var defeated and Nalia's Keep

The treacherous thief Mae'var cannot hold a candle to a hasted+ holy power+righteous magic+DUHM+seeking sword Priestess of Helm/mage. She has four attacks per round, and the will to use it. Tessa embarks upon a new mission, to help a woman named Nalia free her home from a pack of trolls, umberhulks, and yuan-ti.

The troll infestation was nicely eliminated. Tor'Gal may have been able to see through Sanctuary but that simply seperated him from his support. He gets pummeled by the flail of the ages, and his support gets a load of web and flail.
The crazy spider woman Pai'Nai gets whacked. Tessa gets the spell immunity scroll as kitthix figurine.

Rescuing Haer'Dalis

Something particular of note, while Tessa was fighting the yuan-ti mages and literally buffing to the max(SI abjuration and divination, spell deflection, globe of invulnerability, and mirror image) the lightning bolt one of the yuan ti mages hit Haer'Dalis. It was phenomenal to say the least, Tessa could've lost yet another important person.

Tessa dies to a finger of death in planar prison due to the yuan ti mage. I will think about doing the minimal reload challenge.

Yeah even in that split second moment, I knew that particular mage had finger of death in his arsenal as well, but all of my character's buffs had wore off except stoneskin and mirror image(it took sometime to kill all of the mage's allies). I was thinking about using the last ring of air control or try to get into jelly form, and then I hesitated and then that was that. It was like the yuan-ti mage had been saving that finger of death all that time.

Forlorn's progress
- completed Watcher's Keep 1st level to get various items to reduce the clutter in my inventory. Minsc was petrified by trap, but fortunately agreed to rejoin the party when revivified
- Jaheira renounced her status as a harper  (about time too).
- eventually got annoyed by the peremtory manner of the vampires running round at night and sent Tanova and her cohorts packing.  Looks like I'm stuck with the Shadow Thieves now, though I haven't yet formally signed up.
- saved Trademeet: nice to see that someone agrees with Minsc about the party's status as heroes.  Also rescued a girl from a skin dancer and cleared a tomb while there.  Forlorn still needs more experience before being able to take the druid grove as her own.
- journeyed to the Windspear Hills and at last unloaded those pesky acorns.  Cleared the ruins, with the exception of Firkraag who was left on his own for a while to repent his sins.
- in preparation for a return to Firkraag did some spell research, e.g. lower resistance.  As a result of this Forlorn got L13 and her old abilities back.
- Angelo was arrested and put in prison.  To get him out I had to pass by a damsel in distress and ended up recruiting her in place of Yoshimo.  An old contact of Angelo's got him released and asked the party to join him for consultations in his villa, but he and his bodyguard then turned hostile.  I had the feeling from the dialogue that there should be more to this quest, but it may be they went hostile when Jan accidentally tripped a trap.  Things looked bad when the magician produced a duplicate and both cast time stops with wiltings etc attached.  Fortunately only Jaheira was killed by these - Jan was saved by the 10% MR from the robe of Vecna.  By this time the insect plagues had kicked in and though a few more spells were cast they didn't do too much damage.
- headed off to see Firkraag.  With a total of 4 fire elementals in the front line he had little chance and inflicted no casualties even among the summons.  Flushed with success (or the after-effect of dragon breath) the party went on to tackle the shadow dragon.  Similar tactics, though summons were not brought in until the start of the battle to avoid the death spell, and a similar result.
- back in the city the party went to get some dragon armour made.  Regrettably I see that something is now stopping multiple copies being made.  This seems a bit unfair to me - surely a whole dragon could produce more than one suit of human sized armourImage IPB!
- yet more bounty hunters attack Angelo, but a power word stun took out the main magic user and the rest didn't cause much trouble.  The journal says that was the last lot, so maybe travelling around will get a bit easier now.
Next stop I think the Planar Sphere.

Anomen joined the party after which we released Hendak and then went to pick up Saerileth.

Went to kill the dragon which we did successfully. Unfortunately Saerileth died. The knight who gave us the quest has nothing to say! I have something to say to him!
(What really bugs me is the loss of all that nice stuff you get when she is kidnapped by the demon)

On the positive side, now I can truly be called Dragonslayer.

(One thing that I am not sure about. I have used NPC kits to modify some of the characters. Nalia is an Adventurer/Conjurer and Anomen a Fighter/Holy Strategist of the Red Knight. Elsewhere I have read that if you use Shadowkeeper to introduce spell casting kits such as Conjurer, specilist cleric etc. You do not get the bonuses such as extra spells. Is that true of NPC kits also, or does the mod remedy that. )

Forlorn's progress
- used Valygar just long enough to open up the sphere.  Only problem in subduing the inhabitants was when Jan used improved invisibility to scout out a room (having run out of the regular sort); he didn't move quite quick enough and was fried by a fireball as he was leaving.  Again disappointed that tweaks have removed the ability to get a second ring of the ram from Tolgerias (pickpocketed this at the same time as the ring of regeneration, although I haven't actually used it yet).  It doesn't seem particularly unlikely to me that a high level wizard would have access to more than one such ring - although the restriction may have been added for balance reasons.
- Jaheira left the party (again), but we went to fetch her back from the false harpers.  Forlorn intends to keep her around until she's L14 and then leave her to look after the Druid Grove while she's travelling.
- still requiring nearly 1/2 million experience Forlorn decided to have a look at the second level of Watcher's Keep -  probably a bad idea as I've not been there before.  And yes in the Air elemental room the front rank of fire elementals were taking heavy damage and Viconia went in to support them with the idea her magic resistance might help against whirlwind attacks.  It didn't - she was hit several times, rendered unconscious and then further hits scattered her body all over the area.  I had initially thought that it was the elementals doing the damage, but realised after all the elementals were dead that much of it was actually due to the fan.  Presumably this was also doing physical damage rather than magic.  Leaving the Keep for later (maybe I'll resort to a walkthrough) the party went back to the city and recruited Kagain - he has a very healthy 138 HP.  That might also mean Jaheira gets a reprieve.
- completed Kagain's quest for a lost book in order to get some money to pay Gaelan Boyle (previous funds having been squandered on scrolls).
- while waiting for night to fall to start Aran Linvail's tasks ventured into the sewers and dispatched the party there.  Also went into a series of rooms with illithids that I hadn't seen before and killed them with the help of a cordon sanitaire of fire elementals.  I thought that this would be part of freeing Haer'Dalis, but it seems to be separate.  Minsc was using the Azuredge throwing axe and destroyed one of the illithids - presumably this was some sort of undead.

Update of BlackStrider & Co.

Well, our initial plans are screw up a little... All began with that we woke up at midnight and insomnia led us to the local graveyard to spice our nerves a little. Me met there a ghost of a little boy and heard his sad tale. As it turned out a Copper Coronet was not only the slaver's den but also a shelter place for the child's-killers...! On a way back there we were ambushed by Suna Seni and some support thugs. Jaheira smashed Suna Seni by Call Lightning, BlackStrider blinded all others with Glitterdust and then finished helpless goons. Nalia got her new pretty Arbane's Sword +2
Well, we found Llynis, *persuaded* him and returned Wellyn the bear. But! On a way back we smacked right into the one more ambush! A group of thugs killing a guy. Short of spells at the moment... but we have a Polymorph Self memorized all the time (inspired by Alastria's master class) and so they were pushover. So now we should deliver him to the Docks... (*sorry, poor slaves, the guy is dying. you should wait a little bit more...*). We decided to visit Government District, were we saved/joined Viconia and bought a magic licence. One headache less. In Docks we knocked together with some Mad cleric... almost out of spells.  Again! Some thorough scanning of memory and voila - a Ghoul Touch! No more cleric...
Finaly brought a wounded guy to his friends only to be intercepted by Xzar on a way back. And got another mission as a result - Rescue Montaron from the Harpers. Prebek was finished by Nalia-Spider tho Natasha (or what was her name) managed to confuse some of us. Well, we finished Xzar quest and finaly were able to stick with Hendak's slavers quest. As a result we gather enought money to pay Aran Linvail. After that we finished remaining Graveyard's quests (-The Mournful Paladin and the Little Girl/-Nevin's Not-so-dead Uncle Lester/-Crypt King (and all other crypts)/-The Spider Queen (BlackStrider finaly has something that protect against critical hits - his first Ioun Stone) and started -Buried Alive quest. We gave a promise to Nalia to help her some time ago so now we are at her Keep area.

Forlorn's progress
- rescued Haer'Dalis from a magician.  Initially I was surprised how easy that was as I had got the impression that obtaining him was difficult.  When going back to his friends and triggering his removal again (I finally know what all those posts about the planar prison refer to) I realised what the problems were.  Managed to rescue him from prison without casualties although had to leave a lot of items behind (must try and find a bag of holding somewhere) and didn't explore much of the area.
- replaced Minsc with Haer'Dalis.
- did Aran's tasks
- Haer'Dalis spent a bit of time learning spells and this got Forlorn to L14.  She promptly went off to become a Great Druid; also went back to the D'Arnise keep to see if that could be gained as well, but no joy there.
- Took ship for Spellhold.  No problems in Brynnlaw, so on into Spellhold.  After a pleasant chat with Irenicus Bodhi dumped us in the maze.  Forlorn recruited Imoen with the intention of replacing Jan, but Jan didn't offer to find his way home so I thought I would try someone else.  However, Imoen then took it upon herself to disappear.
- While exploring Jan identified a trap, but was instant killed when walking straight into it while attempting to disarm.  A few minutes later he tried to disarm another one, but failed (at 105%) and died again.  Under attack from Yuan-ti Jaheira walked in and was also killed by the trapImage IPB.  Thank goodness for Forlorn's rod of resurrectionImage IPB.  Boosted Jan's trap skill to 150%; let's hope that's enough.
- successfully worked out the riddles first time to get a(nother) ring of regeneration and a ioun stone.
- ambushed by umber hulks.  Forlorn was confused just before her chaotic commands kicked in (strange that was shown as active, but didn't dispel the confusion) and dished out rather a lot of damage to the party, but didn't quite kill anyone.
- found an ancient book and kept reading it.  I was starting to wonder if that was a mistake as the monsters became more vicious.  Fortunately Jaheira had been equipped with the shield of Balduran to deal with the beholder at the end.  Treasure included a scroll of simulacrum (following on from finding the same scroll in the room next door!) and a ring of free action (handy for Haer'Dalis to be able to move during a defensive spin).  At this point with spells running low and everyone tired I risked a rest.
- wandering around not sure what to do next clicked on a portal that had previously done nothing and produced a pit fiend.  He let fly with 2 fireballs in rapid succession and Haer'Dalis, despite his natural resistance, was burnt to a crisp.  With the party down to 5 it's time to pause for a bit and take stock.

Went to the docks and fought the harpers successfully.

Went to the funeral of Nalia's father.

Went to see Anomen's father and then went to the government offices to get justice.

Released the woman who would have been buried alive.

Tried to disarm a trap. She was disintigrated!!!Image IPB

Lost all those nice spells she had memorised and some good equipment too!!

Freed Viconia.

Picked up Amber.

Amber wants me to pick up her bracelet. Discovered that a fence at the thieves' guild has it.
Unfortunately, because of a mod the guild is hostile. No sign of the fence.
No sign of it on the bodies!!
Looks like I could have problems. Ideas anybody?
