Praden the SOLO level 12 fighter/level 15 thief - Update 2
Praden has made tremendous progress since last update. Other than Watcher's Keep and Windspear Hills Praden has completed all quests outside Athkatla. For Umar Hills Temple, he did lots of backstabs, and tanking when necessary. One particular group of was nasty - bone golem, two skeletal warriors and a Greater Mummy. Praden got down to 20% health - he ran for his life. Luckily for him, his enemies got caught on the walls, and he was then able to pick them off piece-meal - even individually, these enemies were hitting him hard. Shade Lord dealt with via Undead scroll and his two summons, Efreeti and Warrior of Valhalla.
By using all his resources, he defeated the trolls in the druid grove - Namarra silence solved both druid groups.
Somewhat surprisingly, Praden managed to clear the entire 1st level of Watcher's Keep including the statues. He did maximum buffs, most important being haste, to backtab/run/hide and repeat - took quite a while but this was a success.
Mencar Pebblecrusher's gang was taken out via a combo of lots of snares and backstabs/run/hide and repeat. Praden has bought quite a few haste potions from the potion merchant in the druid grove.
Praden did maximum buffs once more and engaged Tarnor the Hatchetman's gang - he opened with a backstab on Gauis - this one-shotted him for 100 damage.

Praden then quickly ran away - the enemies were so stunned, they didn't even follow, so then Praden returned and one-shotted Gollchobhair for 100 damage as well.

Praden then ran to the right - the melees tried to follow - Praden hid, returned to the casters who didn't move and backstabbed then meleed the survivor - easy-peasy. Tarnor was the next target - it took two backstabs of 85 and 95 but then he gave up the ghost - the sole survivor at this point could then not survive simple melee.

This cleared a path to Mekrath's Lair - as his buffs from Tarnor fight was still running, Praden tried to quickly wipe out Mekrath and his minions. It went smooth until Praden had to deal with 6 Yuan-tis, 3 of them being mages. Long, long battle..oh forgot to mention, scary moment when Mekrath cast Finger of Death at Praden - Praden's saves at that point were only 2 vs. spells, so that could have been it - can't rely on luck for sure, but very soon Praden's saves will be very negative.
Praden decided to use a Pro Magic scroll for the Planar Prison, believing the haste boots to be worth it. Some easy battles, but a huge group of Yuan-tis appeared - Praden just slipped past them. Praden used two rings of air control to take the Master of Thrall's pets - this made the Master Ok, but dealing with the pets afterward was tough - I forgot to use the air elemental staff oops.
The battle with the Warden was insanely difficult as he had 6 Yuan-tis helping him. Several RoR heals were necessary or it was over. Sunstone bullets and the scimitar from Watcher''s Keep finally killed the Warden - the Namarra silences were also vital here. But success! Here's a screenie with the many dead from that battle:

The Kangaxx demi-liches with the body parts were both defeated with 7 snares - Praden is using a nice trick - ring of invisibility then keep resting until success - this way he can lay snares down repeatedly - his skill is only 65% right now so he still often fails - this way he doesn't have to make the trips to the Inns. This technique also took down the Kangaxx lich form - so Praden then just used his pro magic scroll and haste potion and DUHM to get Kangaxx's ring. Praden did try to pickpocket Kangaxx ring before combat but failed to do it in time.
Here's a screenie of his current equipment - if I missed any encounters, you might be able to tell from that.
This run is using the lessons learned form both Dentan, my solo Kensai-Thief run, and Picenon, my last solo fighter/thief in BG 2 - it's serving Praden well.
